It doesn't in any way negate the efficacy of the power within us
It reminds us of our weakness in the face of the Supremacy of God
Just like the eternal rainbow that spreads across the earth, it reminds us that all that we have is a gift
The humility in knowing that we are just vessels for the lifting of the other

Life is parallel to roses, esteemed as the most precious of flowers, yet embellished with sharp thorns.
The thorns are not meant to hinder the rose, but to protect it, and help it flourish.
Do we have thorns in our life that we are so desperate to get rid of?
We dwell so much on the thorns of pain, sorrow, tears and adversity, forgetting our innate ability to bloom.

If the rose spent its existence trying to eradicate the thorns because it felt lonely and ugly, would it have achieved its exceptional beauty?
Would it have become the most exquisite of all flowers?
Rather, the rose accepted that the thorns were only a part of its existence, with a crucial role to play in its beauty and uniqueness.

How do we choose to view the thorns of life?
Can we learn from the rose that the painful aspects of life are integral to our growth and character?
That we underestimate our capacity to overcome life's challenges?
By shifting our perspective, we can transcend life's challenges and realize our potential.

We have the assurance that despite life's obstacles, we shall bloom in our due season.
