Your daily habits are louder than your future symptoms !
Your daily habits are louder than future symptoms.
What shows up later
doesn’t start later.
Silent damage begins early.
Poor habits grow quietly.
Symptoms arrive years after.
The body remembers
what you eat, how you sleep,
how you move, and how you manage stress.
The future you
is already under construction.

Happy new month, my people
Can you believe we’re already here again? 🥹 A new month, another opportunity to breathe, reset, and try again.
I don’t know what the past month looked like for you. Maybe it was beautiful, maybe it was stressful, maybe you’re still trying to make sense of some things. Whatever it was, you made it here. And that alone is something to be grateful for.
This month, I’m choosing to take things one day at a time. No unnecessary pressure. No rushing what needs time. Just trusting God, doing my part, and allowing Him to lead the rest.
I pray this month is kind to you. May we have good health, peace of mind, answered prayers, meaningful progress, and plenty of reasons to smile.
And please, take care of yourself too. Eat well. Rest. Drink your water. Check on your people. Go for that check up you’ve been postponing. Your health matters.
Happy new month, friends. 🥂🤍
May September be good to us.

LET’S TALK ABOUT OMEPRAZOLE ABUSE.
Omeprazole helps with heartburn, GERD, and ulcers and that’s great. But “it works” isn’t a reason to take it forever.
Some people start it for occasional heartburn and stay on it for months or years without reassessing.
Long term use has been linked to low magnesium, vitamin B12 deficiency, certain infections, and kidney problems, though not every reported risk is definitively caused by the drug.
Stopping after long use can also cause rebound acid, which makes symptoms feel worse at first.
Please use omeprazole for the right reason, at the right dose, for the right time.
If you’ve been on it long term, talk to a healthcare professional about tapering or alternatives. Don’t keep a medication indefinitely just because "it works"

We spend so much time building the life we want that we sometimes forget to protect the person who has to live it.
Health is not something to sacrifice along the way. It is the foundation that makes everything else possible.
Take care of yourself. Your future needs you. 💚

Some people see onions in their food and immediately start picking them out. 😂
“Please, I don’t want onions in my food!”
But before you push every last piece to the side, maybe it’s worth looking at onions differently.
Onions aren’t just there to add flavour, they also contain nutrients and antioxidant compounds that can be part of a healthy diet.
And you don’t have to eat them raw. You can enjoy onions cooked in soups, sauces, stews, rice dishes, and other everyday meals.
So, the next time you see those little onion pieces in your food, maybe leave a few on your plate. 😉
Have a good relationship with onions today. It doesn't bite😩

Can we talk about how we’ve been seriously sleeping on okra?
In Yoruba, okra is called “Ilá”
I don't know why some people run from it but it has so many benefits.
And the funny part?
We’re out here looking for expensive “superfoods” when Ilá has been sitting in our local markets, minding its own business. 😂
No fancy wellness routine.
No complicated recipe.
Just okra as part of a balanced diet. It's simple, affordable, and nutritious.

A new week is an opportunity to be more intentional about your health.
With work, responsibilities, and daily demands, it is easy to put your health on the back burner. But your health should not become a priority only when something goes wrong.
Pay attention to how you feel. Get adequate rest. Nourish your body. Stay active. Manage stress. And when something doesn’t feel right, don’t ignore it.
Good health is built through the small choices we make consistently.
As you begin this new week, ask yourself:
What is one thing I can do differently this week to take better care of my health?
Wishing you a healthy, fulfilling, and productive week.

LOCUST BEANS (IRU)
Many people know locust beans as the ingredient that gives traditional soups and stews their unique aroma and flavour. But locust beans also add valuable nutrients to your diet.
- Supports a balanced diet: They provide plant based nutrients that complement other foods.
- Provides dietary fibre: Fibre supports healthy digestion and regular bowel function.
- Contains protein: Protein helps maintain and repair body tissues.
- Provides minerals: Locust beans supply minerals that support normal body functions (amounts vary with processing).
- Fermented food: Traditional fermentation can alter nutritional properties and may produce beneficial compounds.
So next time you add locust beans to a soup, remember, you’re not just adding flavour; you’re adding a traditional food with real nutritional value.

“Mama said she was just tired… until she couldn’t climb the stairs.”
Every evening, Mama would say:
“Abeg, I’m just tired. I need more rest.”
Her children would tell her to slow down.
She would laugh.
“Rest ke? Who will cook? Who will do everything?”
So she kept going.
Until one day, climbing the stairs suddenly felt harder than usual.
She stopped halfway, caught her breath, and laughed it off:
“See me struggling with ordinary stairs. I’m getting old o.”
But this time, her daughter insisted they get her checked.
And that visit reminded them of something important:
Not every change in how you feel should automatically be blamed on age, stress, or being tired.
Sometimes we get so used to feeling a certain way that we start calling it normal.
Persistent tiredness, unusual breathlessness, dizziness, ongoing pain, or a noticeable change in your usual energy deserves attention—not assumptions.
Listen to your body, but don't diagnose yourself. If something feels different or keeps happening, get checked by a qualified healthcare professional.
Because sometimes, “I’m just tired” deserves a little more attention.
