Reasons why your skincare products are not working

Many people complained that after a trusted skincare products it has stopped performing. I know it's frustrating, but I'll help u. First, look at some of these reasons why it has stopped working or u are not doing the right thing before deciding what to do with the products.

1. Your skin is not properly cleansed: I always advise to double cleanse to properly cleansed your skin of impurities and dirt, to prevent acne and dull skin.

2. You have too much dead skin cells: Younger people's cell renews itself every 28days, people from 50, their cell renews every 37 days. When that happens, a new dead skin cell forms. With too accumulation it, your skincare products are prevented from being absorbed no matter how effective they are. Always exfoliate twice a week with scrub or exfoliants.

3. Your skin has reached a particular level where it can't get immune to skincare products(it has reached an optimal level) that is the reason why your vitamin C serum doesn't seem to yield any further skin brightening, because the retinol product isn't showing much effectiveness. Switch products for the main time.

4. Ingredients in your products have degraded, that's if they were improperly stored which makes some active ingredients in it to lose potency. Or your products are contaminated. Poor storage can cause products to lose efficacy.

5. Your skin has changed; As u mature, u need to introduce new products with different ingredients to your skincare routine. What works 5yrs ago is probably not going to work now. Always audit your skincare needs. Do it every year.
Weather condition can also affect. Use heavy moisturizer during this harmattan period.
