Random facts about chemical peels you probably didn’t know

1. A chemical peel doesn’t always mean dramatic peeling. Some peels work gently beneath the surface without turning your face into a shedding snake 😂

2. Chemical peels can help improve hyperpigmentation, acne, uneven texture, dullness and post-acne marks, depending on the type of peel and your skin’s needs.

3. Your skin may look AMAZING immediately after a peel( like this video) but the real magic is often happening during the days and weeks that follow as your skin goes through its renewal process.

4. More peeling ≠ better results.
A peel is not a competition to see who can shed the most skin. The right strength, formulation and protocol matter more than how dramatic your peeling looks, sometimes you won’t even notice visible peeling, your skin might just show little flaking.

5. You don’t necessarily need to wait until you have “bad skin” to get a peel. Chemical peels can also be part of a preventative and maintenance skincare routine when appropriately selected.

6. Your skin can be more sensitive after a peel, which makes SPF non-negotiable.

7. Not every chemical peel is suitable for every skin type or concern. What worked beautifully for your friend might be completely wrong for you.
