Today, a young lady walked into the lab.

She looked nervous.

Not sick.

Not weak.

Just worried.

---

She sat down and after a few minutes, she finally asked:

"Please, how do I know if I'm pregnant?"

---

You could hear the anxiety in her voice.

The fear.

The uncertainty.

Because sometimes, it's not the test result people are afraid of.

It's the possibility of what the result might say.

---

As we talked, she started mentioning some things she had noticed.

Her period was late.

She had been feeling unusually tired.

Her breasts felt tender.

And she had been experiencing nausea, especially in the mornings.

---

These are some of the signs many women experience early in pregnancy.

But here's something important:

Signs alone do not confirm pregnancy.

---

A missed period can happen for many reasons.

Stress.

Hormonal changes.

Illness.

Certain medications.

Even changes in lifestyle.

---

That's why guessing is never enough.

And this is where many people make mistakes.

They start listening to friends.

Searching random things online.

Taking different drugs.

Or believing myths.

---

The truth is simple.

If you think you might be pregnant...

Test.

---

A pregnancy test detects a hormone called hCG.

This hormone is produced during pregnancy.

And it helps us know whether pregnancy is present or not.

---

The earlier you know...

The better.

Because if you are pregnant:

- You can start antenatal care early
- You can protect your health
- You can protect the baby's health

---

And if you're not pregnant...

You can investigate what is actually causing the symptoms.

---

What hurts sometimes is seeing people wait for months because they are afraid of the result.

Fear doesn't change the outcome.

But knowledge helps you make the right decisions.

---

So if you're experiencing:

- Missed periods
- Morning sickness
- Breast tenderness
- Unusual tiredness
- Frequent urination

Please don't rely on assumptions.

Don't rely on social media advice.

Don't rely on guesswork.

---

Come to the hospital.

Do the test.

Know where you stand.

---

Because peace of mind starts with knowing the truth.

And in healthcare...

The right answer always begins with the right test.

Stay informed. Stay healthy.
