Cinnamon and Honey Health Benefits
Cinnamon is a spice obtained from the inner bark of the trees from the genus ‘Cinnamomum’. It originated in Sri Lanka and due to its medicinal and highly preservative properties, its popularity spread throughout the word.
It is used in both sweet and savoury dishes, like apple pie, doughnuts, tea, liqueurs, rich gravy or while cooking chicken or lamb. As I mentioned before, it has great medicinal properties which is a major reason for its popularity.
The health problems that I am mentioning here are very common these days, and since you can easily find cinnamon in your kitchen or at your local grocery store, it works as a very inexpensive solution. Let’s begin now, shall we?
Cinnamon Benefits:
Here are all the uses of cinnamon!
1. Cholesterol:
Our body needs cholesterol to produce hormones, vitamin D and digestive salts. However if your body has more amount of this waxy substance than it needs, it can build up in your arteries which puts you at risk of serious health problems like heart diseases.
Cinnamon is an excellent source of calcium and fiber. The combinations of these two components bind and removes salt from the body that have a damaging effect on the colon (bile). The body then has to break down cholesterol to generate new bile hence having a positive impact on heart diseases.
What you can do to use its benefits: Take two table spoons of honey and three teaspoons of cinnamon powder in 16 ounces of tea water. This will reduce the 10% cholesterol level in body within two hours.
2. Cold:
Cold is a very common issue these days. Although it can be treated by the intake of various allopathic medicines, which have a lot of side-effects; you can treat it at home with this simple recipe:
Add ¼ th teaspoon of cinnamon powder into 1 tablespoon honey and mix this well together. You can make this in a large amount and take this twice a day and the cold will vanish within three days.
Another way to treat cold with the help of this spice is to mix about a teaspoon of cinnamon powder in your hot cup of green tea.
3. Arthritis:
There are many types of arthritis. All cause pain, swelling and reduced motion in the joints. Although cinnamon may not cure all types of arthritis, a few can be cured by using this simple home remedy:
Take one cup of hot water. To this add two spoons of honey and one small tea spoon of cinnamon powder. Drink this daily in the morning and at night to relieve pain.
4. Pimples:
Acne or pimples have cursed women’s for a long time now; it’s time to get rid of these by using cinnamon and honey mixture.
The following mask is one of the best remedies to get rid of acne:
Here is the simple recipe that will help you get rid of acne forever:
·Take two table spoons of honey
A little more than half tea spoon of cinnamon powder
Mix both of these together and apply it all over your face.
Once the mask starts to dry, wash it off.
Use this daily for a month and see the results yourself.
5. Indigestion or stomach problems:
Honey and cinnamon used together cures ulcers from the root. It also relieves gas and destroys germs from the bladder.
Home remedy:
Take one glass of warm water.
Take One teaspoon of honey
Take One or two tablespoon of cinnamon powder.
Mix everything together and drink daily.
6. Heart Diseases:
Mix honey and cinnamon powder together and apply on bread instead of jam and consume daily. This will keep you safe from heart attacks. You can apply this mixture on roti’s as well.
7. Skin Infections:
If you have any kind of skin infections, make a paste of honey and cinnamon powder in equal quantity and apply it on the affected area. This will solve almost all types of skin problems.
Another way is: If you have any cuts, clean this wound and simply dust some cinnamon powder on it. The bacteria will start getting killed and the wound will heal quickly.
8. Weight loss:
Drinking honey and cinnamon powder boiled in a cup of water, at least half an hour before breakfast and at night daily has shown amazing results to control weight loss. Taken regularly it reduces the weight of even the most obese person. Cinnamon helps to reduce weight quickly.

A study showed that advanced cancer of the stomach and bones can be cured successfully by the intake of cinnamon with honey. Patients suffering from these kinds of cancer should daily take one tablespoon of honey with one teaspoon of cinnamon powder for one month 3 times a day.

Who does not want to stay young forever and increase their life span?

Skin tags
These fleshy, small growths extending from and connected to the skin by a thin stalk can appear on the face as well as elsewhere on the body. It is those on the face that cause the most embarrassment, distress and even discomfort. So although they are benign and harmless, facial skin tags can affect your appearance. Usually they grow up to half an inch in length before they stop growing. They are easy to self-diagnose but if you are in any doubt, consult your doctor or dermatologist for a definite diagnosis. Aging or overweight people plus those with diabetes are more likely to develop skin tags.
Fortunately, as soon as you notice one or more of these skin tags on your face and while they are still small, it is easy enough to arrange for their removal
Make sure to wash the area with warm water and pat dry before using home remedies.
Below are home remedies for skin tags
1 Apple Cider Vinegar: This worked for me personally. You can try whichever method you are comfortable with.
Dip a cotton swab in ACV and apply directly on skin tag.
Leave it on for 3-4 he's then wash off.
The acid in ACV breaks down excess cells in the skin tag and naturally removes them.
Follow this remedy at least three times a week for 2-4 weeks to eliminate the tags.
NOTE:For sensitive skin dillute ACV with clean water before applying.
2. Tea tree oil: Being acidic in nature, tea tree oil is a good remedy.this oil will dry out skin tag and it will fall gradually without pain. Its antiseptic property protects the skin after the tag has been removed.
Method
Dip cotton ball in water and squeeze our excess water.
Put 3-4 drops of tea tree oil on wet cotton ball.
Rub cotton ball over skin tag massaging gently in circular motions.
Leave it on for a few hours before washing off
Repeat three times daily for a few weeks until skin tag vanishes.
For sensitive skin ,make sure to dilute tea tree oil in equal parts with clean water before application.

Hello People,
Botanical skincare benefits
Some years back,I used almost every skincare product I came across (mostly chemical based),my skin was an eye sore to behold....dull,rough, filled with acne. I almost gave up on taking care of my skin until I learnt the nitty gritty of botanical skin care and I must say I have been loving my skin since then.
The skincare industry has experimented with chemical-based products but is now realizing the significance of age-old natural ways, which has ushered a whole new range of Botanical skin care and hand made products.
Botanical skin care has been an imperative part of every civilization. The methods our ancestors used seem to be resurfacing in the contemporary botanical products. Botanical simply means skincare products in which botanical or natural ingredients are the core of the product. From flowers to leaves to roots and even the seeds, plant extract can become the core elements for skin care products. Plants are known to have healing and regenerative qualities. They also contain essential oils, vitamins, and antioxidants all of which have been proved to benefit us in some way or the other. Well, it would seem our ancestors knew what they were doing after all! Today you will find botanical ingredients incorporated in many modern skin care products for women and men. Some of the most beneficial ones are:
Aloe Vera: One of the most popular botanical ingredient used, aloe vera is extracted from a stemless plant that has a fleshy leaves, the rosettes of the leaves are processed to extract a hydrating gel. This gel contains more than 70 nutrients, from vitamins and minerals, It also has a healthy dose of amino acids, which initiates a cell-renewal process along with Vitamin B that aids the skin in resisting aging.
Witch Hazel: The extracts from the hamamelis tree is known as the Witch Hazel. This is an alcoholic extract is taken from the leaves, bark, and flowers of the tree. The ingredient is a blend of around 15% of ethyl alcohol (for preservation) and around 86% of aqueous witch extract. Witch Hazel is actually one of the best astringents that nature could offer. It has a mild styptic property that reduces razor burn and is an excellent toner for the skin.

Vitamin C rich fruits and foods
'sgiftsyourskinreflectswhatyoueatrenewsskincellsfreshskinbeautifulskin #
Is it important to take Vitamins or do we just concentrate on applying creams/lotion topically.
Below are benefits of taking Vitamin C
Sun Protection:
Vitamin C protects our skin from free radicals that develop due to excess exposure to the sun, environmental pollution and regular smoking. The antioxidants in Vitamin C protect the skin from ultraviolet radiation and the effect of sunlight exposure.
Vitamin C helps to reduce sun burns caused by the exposure to ultra violet radiation to a great extent. It not only reduces sunburns but also prevents the consequences of long term sun exposure that can lead to skin cancer.
Production Of Collagen:
Vitamin C is a required component for the production of hydroxyproline and hydroxylysine, both of which are needed to bind the molecules that produce collagen. This, in turn, firms and tones the skin. Collagen deficiency makes the skin dull and lifeless. Collagen rejuvenates the skin from the roots and reduces wrinkles and symptoms of aging.
Heals Wounds:
The body uses Vitamin C to replace the damaged tissue and helps to heal the wound at a faster pace. Wounds that heal slowly indicate Vitamin C deficiency. Vitamin C improves the skin elasticity and helps to create scar tissue and ligaments for quick recovery.
Protects Against Skin Discolouration:
Vitamin C protects DNA from photochemical reactions that can lead to tumor, skin discolouration and several kinds of skin cancer. It also inhibits the production of Pyrimidine dimers that are the primary cause of melanomas in humans.
It lightens dark discoloration like skin freckles and age spots and helps to get a younger and smoother skin.
Improves Skin Texture:
Collagen also provides the structure for the blood vessels. The tiny blood vessels under the skin carry oxygen and nutrients that keep the skin healthy. Without enough nutrients, the skin will become rough and dry. Creams containing Vitamin C improve the appearance and texture of the skin.
Vitamin C increases the formation of elastin which thickens, protects and heals the skin cells. The thickening effect helps retain moisture, increases the skin circulation and plumps up the skin surface.
