"WHO CREATED US, for WHAT PURPOSE?"

"You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created." Revelation 4:11 (NKJV)

Have you ever stopped to consider why you're here on earth? A quick look at Revelation 4:11 actually gives us the 4-1-1 on the real answer according to God. It answers the questions such as:

--; Why were we created?

--; Who created us?

The first thing we can see in this verse is, the Lord is worthy to receive Glory and Honor.

The word glory used in this verse is from the Greek word, doxa, dox;-ah; which means, praise and worship. While the word honor used here is from the Greek word, time, (tee-ma;), which means esteem in the highest form. So the Lord is worthy of worship with the highest esteem possible from His creation.

Secondly, we can clearly see from this verse it was the Lord who created us, because He has created everything (John 1:3; Rev. 4:11). Now, this biblical fact flies in the face of the evolutionists, who distort the very truth concerning who created us, and why we exist. Satan has successfully manipulated many humans into believing this theory, and in doing so he has taken God out of the equation. Once God is removed in this way, man loses his true purpose for living, which is to bring glory and honor to God through our living.

The theory of evolution isn't the only way we are being deceived, though. The enemy is leading even those who profess to believe in God astray. This happens when we become so distracted that we simply stop acknowledging God in our day-to-day living. When this happens, we stop doing things as an act of worship unto Him, and we simply do them out of habit or to fulfill our own needs and desires. This can lead us to worshipping the created things of this world instead of the One who created us.

We need to remember that we are given an opportunity to worship God in every situation. Every action we choose can be done as an act of worship unto our Lord, and it can bring glory and honor to His name.
