I keep getting questions so i thought i might as well start answering them publicly.

We all know exfoliation is an integral part of a good skin care regimen.

Firstly, If you have been exfoliating daily, please STOP!! Your skin needs time to regenerate and daily exfoliation will only lengthen the time period.

Secondly, over-exfoliation can lead to skin irritation, redness, and even thinning. So again, do NOT exfoliate your skin on a daily basis.

Now let's address the elephant in the room;

"HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU EXFOLIATE?"

Once a week is sufficient especially if you have dry skin. If your skin tends to be oily, then you can exfoliate twice a week, but never more than that.

Last week, my skin was quite dry. I had neglected my routine for a while so i wasn't surprised.
I know what you are thinking but the truth is we all have those moments. If you slip up for so long, your skin will reflect it.

It's not the slip up of one week that makes the skin rebel, it is usually a build up of those bad habits.

Interestingly, my friends kept saying "Kara your skin still looks better than mine", but as a skin care professional, i knew my skin could be much better.

This week, I'm jumping right back into my routine. No excuses!!
