Olaide Dafe is dedicated to uplifting women and children from underserved communities by providing access to quality education, healthcare, leadership training, mentorship, and entrepreneurship programs. This mission was inspired by her observation that many children lack the essential educational resources needed for academic success, while mothers in these communities struggle to make ends meet, limiting their ability to support their families.

With a degree in English from Obafemi Awolowo University and certifications in Humanitarian Leadership and Non-Profit Management, Olaide brings a wealth of knowledge to her work. She has eight years of experience in non-profit management, specializing in child education and health initiatives, as well as leadership, mentorship, and vocational skills training. Her holistic approach focuses on the welfare of women and children, advocating for their rights and promoting sustainable development in marginalized communities.

In 2016, Olaide established the Deploying Skills for Living Foundation (DSL) to empower women and children across Nigeria and Africa. Under her leadership, DSL has successfully implemented educational empowerment programs, making a significant impact on the lives of women and children, supported by her exceptional team.

Today, DSL has expanded its operations from Abuja to Lagos in response to the increasing need to support more women and children. Currently, she and her team are collaborating with 13 schools across nine communities in both cities.

Olaide has been recognized as a recipient of the Funding Magnet Champion's award for Non-Profit Organization, and her organization triumphed in a pitch contest hosted by Change Makers Hub.

A Giving Tuesday Starling Collective Fellow, she envisions a future where every child and woman, regardless of their background, has access to quality education and the means to thrive economically. Through her dedication, resilience, and firm belief in the transformative power of education, Olaide has changed the lives of many women and children, empowering them to realize their full potential and make positive contributions to their communities and the nation.

Emphasizing complete well-being and natural vitality 👌

It was so great and i was honoured to share my thought on Sunday 4:30pm WAT, 9pm IST on these topic with Aura Talks.

1. Mind Matters:
Teen life can be a rollercoaster! How can we spot when stress or anxiety is taking over, and what can teachers or friends do to help before it’s too late?
2. Let’s Talk Consent:
In today’s digital world, where information travels faster than understanding — how can we make conversations around consent and sexual awareness more real, respectful, and relatable for teens?
3. Breaking Stereotypes:
How can schools help students move beyond gender labels and create spaces where everyone feels seen, safe, and equal — regardless of identity or expression?
4. Balancing Act:
Between grades, goals, and gadgets — how can parents and educators help teens stay mentally strong, emotionally aware, and socially confident?

A big thanks to Mrs Choudhary Suman from India a woman of impact and the owner of the Aura Talk initiative SETU – Stories, Emotions, Togetherness, Understanding
Building bridges of emotions through real experiences.

In a world where screens define connections, SETU brings teens together to feel, share, and grow through genuine human experiences — because emotions are best lived, not downloaded.

Thanks for the privilege and honor given to share my thought.
