Barrister Darlington Agomuo has declared that the political tide in Rivers State has finally turned against former governor Nyesom Wike.

Speaking during an interview with Voice of The People TV, Agomuo revealed that he had long warned Wike that a day would come when he would lose control of Rivers politics — and according to him, that day is already here.

Agomuo pointed to Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s recent defection to the APC following his fallout with Wike and members of the Rivers State House of Assembly. He noted that Fubara now enjoys a strong political link with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and should fully leverage the power and influence that come with being in the ruling party.

According to Agomuo, Wike’s era of dominance in Rivers State is over.

“I told Wike that one day he will be the loser. The handwriting is already on the wall. I don’t see him controlling Rivers State again. It is not possible. It can never happen.”
