There’s a particular moment with my bride, Sonari READY TO WEAR IN PORT HARCOURT / FASHION STORE , that I still remember so vividly. 😂

She booked our 4:30 a.m. bridal makeup session, and sometime around 6 a.m., while I was working, she asked:

“Are we not done with the skin prep?” 😭

Everyone in the room looked at her like… Girl, your makeup is literally done. 😂

The only thing left was her lips.

And she genuinely couldn’t believe it because she couldn’t feel the makeup on her face. All along, she thought I was still doing skin prep. 😂

Honestly, Sonari had the kind of skin every makeup artist dreams of working on. Clean, smooth, well-hydrated, balanced and beautifully maintained.

Then I came back for her touch up later that afternoon, and she was SO happy. She kept telling me how everyone loved her makeup, how well it had lasted, and how beautiful she felt. 🥹

That moment is one of those little memories that stays with you as a bridal makeup artist.

Because bridal artistry is so much bigger than applying makeup.

Yes, technique matters. Skin prep matters. Products matter. Longevity matters.

But so does how the bride feels when she looks in the mirror.

We are an integral part of one of the most important days of her life. And when you think about it, makeup can either elevate that experience or become one more thing the bride has to worry about.

That is why one of my core goals is simple:

Every bride who sits in my chair should leave feeling more confident, more beautiful and even more like herself than when she arrived.
