👉Single Drawn: Contains multiple lengths of hair mixed in the hair extension. Hair wefted at the top is thicker, tapers at the middle and is thin near the ends.
👉Sew-in: The process in which one’s hair is braided and the weft is sewn to the braids with a hair needle thread.
CLOSURE: A 4x4 hairpiece that is used at the top of the head only when doing a weave style.
FRONTAL: A 13x4 hairpiece that is sewn at the top and towards the front of the head during a sew in or making a wig unit. A frontal gives more parting space and versatility when styling.
360 FRONTAL: Recreates and covers the entire perimeter of the head. Cuts your install time in half and gives you freedom when styling.
We will take some of the terms and discuss them in details later on🤗🤗
I hope you were able to learn some hair terms😘😘

Hey darlings!!!
I’m back again with my disturbance😂😂
Often times you have conversations with your friends or your hairstylist and have not a clue of what weave terminology they are using. You just nod your head in the affirmative not to look clueless😂🤣 You take their word for it just to save face.
Well not anymore here is a cheat sheet of the most common terminology when it comes to weave and wearing weave.
🌻BUNDLES: Are Hairs that has been hand or machine sewn to create a wefted hair extension. These single wefted hair extensions are gathered together at the end. It’s either rolled or folded as in a bundle. The common weight is 100 grams.
🌻Weft: A weft is a curtain of hair that has a seam at the top, which keeps the hair in place. Whenever you are dealing with weave or wigs, the hair will always come in the form of a weft.
There are two ways a weft can be done.
🌻MACHINE WEFT: A machine weft is loose sections of hair that go through a triple head sewing machine, which creates a curtain of hair with the seam on top. When having a weave installed, most people use this type of weft. It’s also a cheaper option since a machine is creating the weft.
🌻Hand Tied Weft: Done by hand and are much thinner than machine wefts. They lay flat to the scalp to give you a more natural look.
🌻BULK HAIR: Bulk hair is not bound to weft and is packed loose. It is mostly utilized for braiding as well as strand by strand application.
🌻Double Drawn: Contains hair on a weft that’s all the same length. The hair is thicker from top to bottom. This is just a surface description. We will talk more about double drawn in our next topic.
We will continue the remaining ones later... let me not give you all the juicy stuffs now 😘😘😘

Alright ladies!!! Let’s talk about how to care for our weaves...
See ehn if you like buy hair worth 1million, if you don’t take care of your hair it will tangle and spoil... that’s when some people will start blaming their vendors that they sold bad hairs to them...
No sis, you failed to take care of your weave and it packed up...
The most important advice is to take care of your wig or hair extension as you take care of your hair. That means washing them with shampoo and using conditioner or other hair products, style them, brush them….everything you would do for your own hair.
Follow the steps in the second picture to wash your hair properly, but here are a few tips to keep in mind when washing them
🌼 Never scrub when washing them, it could cause tangling
🌼 Rinse, add conditioner and leave on for at least 5 minutes
🌼 De-tangle if needed, gently, with a wide tooth comb
🌼 Rinse
🌼 Apply serum or leave-in conditioner
🌼 Air dry at low heat
🌼 Avoid using oily products
🌼 Don’t wash too often
🌼 If the hair in the wig or extensions is dyed use a high quality shampoo for colored hair, as well as conditioner
🌼 Keep hair extensions wrapped up while sleeping.
Curly hairs needs special attention, therefore please keep in mind:
🌼 Don’t use alcohol based products. It will dry out the hair and make it frizzy
🌼 Keep it hydrated and moisturized. You can use products that contain Argan oil or Coconut oil, or you can use keratin spray
🌼 Never de-tangle when the hair is dry or without using conditioner
🌼 A silk scarf is recommended to keep the hair tamed over night
🌼 Spray daily with a mixture of water and conditioner
