Did You Know?

A child's first teeth are temporary, but the habits formed while they have them can last a lifetime.

Good oral hygiene starts earlier than many parents think.

When did you start brushing your child's teeth?

Parents, be honest…

How many times has your child said, “I’m hungry” just 30 minutes after eating? 😅

The secret isn’t always feeding more food — it’s feeding the right food.

Foods rich in protein, healthy fats, and fiber help children stay fuller for longer, support healthy growth, and provide lasting energy for play and learning.

What’s one food your child can never say no to?

Why Tom Brown Cereal Is a Nutritious Choice for Children and Adults

Tom Brown is a popular cereal made from a blend of grains, nuts, and natural spices. When prepared with ingredients such as maize, guinea corn, millet, tiger nuts, dates, groundnuts, and ginger, it becomes a nutrient-dense meal that offers several health benefits.

1️⃣Provides Energy
Maize, millet, and guinea corn are rich in complex carbohydrates, which provide the body with a steady source of energy for daily activities, growth, and development.

2️⃣Supports Healthy Growth
Groundnuts contribute protein, an essential nutrient needed for building and repairing tissues. Protein is especially important for growing children.

3️⃣Promotes Healthy Digestion
The fiber found in millet, tiger nuts, dates, and other ingredients helps support healthy digestion, prevents constipation, and promotes gut health.

4️⃣May Help Reduce the Risk of Iron Deficiency
Dates contain iron and other nutrients that support healthy blood production. Including iron-rich foods in the diet can help reduce the risk of anemia.

5️⃣Supports Bone Health
Millet and tiger nuts provide minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium, which are important for maintaining strong bones and teeth.

6️⃣Contains Healthy Fats
Groundnuts and tiger nuts contain healthy fats that support brain development and overall health.

7️⃣Rich in Antioxidants
Ginger and dates contain natural antioxidants that help protect the body’s cells from damage caused by free radicals.

8️⃣Supports Immune Function
A balanced diet containing a variety of nutrient-rich foods helps support the immune system. The combination of grains, nuts, and fruits in Tom Brown contributes valuable vitamins and minerals.

A simple bowl of Tom Brown can provide energy, protein, fiber, healthy fats, and essential minerals.

Have you ever tried making Tom Brown with millet, tiger nuts, dates, and groundnuts?

5 MISTAKES PARENTS MAKES WHEN TREATING DIARRHEA AT HOME

Diarrhea is common in children, but some well-intentioned home treatments can make the situation worse.

1️⃣Not Giving Enough Fluids

The biggest danger of diarrhea is dehydration. Children can lose a lot of fluid quickly, especially babies and toddlers.

2️⃣Stopping All Feeding

Many parents stop feeding a child with diarrhea. In reality, children should continue eating age-appropriate foods and breastfeeding should continue.

3️⃣Giving Antibiotics Without Medical Advice

Not all diarrhea is caused by bacteria. Using antibiotics unnecessarily may not help and can sometimes worsen the problem.

4️⃣Ignoring Signs of Dehydration

Watch for:

Dry mouth
Sunken eyes
Reduced urination
Unusual sleepiness
No tears when crying

These signs require prompt medical attention.

5️⃣Waiting Too Long to Seek Help

See a healthcare professional if your child:

Is younger than 6 months
Has blood in the stool
Has persistent vomiting
Has a high fever
Shows signs of dehydration
Has diarrhea lasting several days

Most diarrhea improves with proper hydration and care, but dehydration can become serious very quickly in children.

Teething or Illness? How to Tell the Difference

Many parents blame every symptom on teething, but not everything that happens during this period is caused by teething.

💕Common Signs of Teething

Increased drooling

Chewing on fingers, toys, or other objects

Swollen or tender gums

Mild irritability

Slight change in feeding habits

Disturbed sleep

💕Signs That May Suggest Illness Instead

High fever

Persistent diarrhea

Vomiting

Severe cough

Difficulty breathing

Extreme tiredness or weakness

Refusal to eat or drink for a prolonged period

The Truth About Teething

Teething can make babies uncomfortable, but it does not usually cause high fever, severe diarrhea, or serious illness. If your child has these symptoms, another condition may be responsible.

Teething can cause discomfort, but don’t assume every symptom is due to teething. Sometimes a child may be teething and sick at the same time.

What was the most surprising symptom your child had while teething? Share your experience below. 👇

5 SIGNS YOUR CHILD MAY HAVE WORM

Intestinal worms are common in children, especially those who play outdoors or have poor hand hygiene.

5 signs that may suggest a worm infection:

1️⃣Frequent Stomach Pain

Children with worms may complain of recurring tummy aches, bloating, or discomfort.

2️⃣Increased Appetite or Poor Appetite

Some children become unusually hungry, while others lose interest in food.

3️⃣Itching Around the A**s

This is especially common with pinworm infections and may be worse at night, causing restless sleep.

4️⃣Weight Loss or Poor Weight Gain

Despite eating normally, a child may not gain weight as expected because worms can take nutrients from the food they eat.

5️⃣Tiredness and Weakness

Worms can contribute to poor nutrition and, in some cases, anemia, leaving a child looking pale, weak, or easily fatigued.

💕How to Help Prevent Worm Infections

Wash hands with soap before eating and after using the toilet.

Keep fingernails short and clean.

Wash fruits and vegetables thoroughly.

Ensure children wear footwear outdoors.

These signs can also be caused by other illnesses. If you suspect your child has worms, consult a healthcare professional for proper diagnosis and treatment.
