So you’ve made up your mind that you want to be a content creator? Amazing, but hear me out for a second.
Be ready for the critics. Some people will show up just to correct your spelling. Some will nitpick your pronunciation. Some will counter everything you say just for the sake of it. That’s just the reality of putting yourself out there.
But here’s what I need you to understand, not every comment deserves your energy. Take the corrections that are genuinely helpful. Leave the rest. If you’re not in a place where you can do that, content creation will drain you.

And please, get familiar with your buttons.

Anyone who shows up just to frustrate you, pick apart your words, or look for faults, use those buttons without guilt. They are not your audience. They are not there to learn from you. They are just there to picnic on your content and cause noise.
The mindset you need? “I don’t care.”
Not in a careless way, but in a I know my purpose and I will not be distracted kind of way.
People will come. The wrong ones AND the right ones. Just make sure you’re protected and focused.

I have so much to say about this.
Teaching your daughters that men are polygamous by nature is not empowerment.It is conditioning them to accept disrespect before it even happens.

No human being is wired to cheat. Cheating is a CHOICE. And two wrongs will never, ever make a right.
If your husband is unfaithful, you have every right to leave. Pack your things, hold your head high, and walk out with your dignity intact.

Our daughters deserve better than that narrative.
Teach them their worth. Teach them their standards. Teach them that a man who cannot honor his commitment is a man who does not deserve her presence.

One man, One woman, Full commitment. That is what I will be teaching my daughters.

Story time 🥁
I almost wrecked my gums trying a teeth-whitening hack I saw on Facebook 😭
Someone on Facebook said baking soda makes your teeth white. Did I look it up? No. Did I use a sensible amount? Absolutely not.
I mixed a generous and I mean generous amount into my toothpaste and brushed morning and night. Then took one day off. Then did it again.
By day three, my gums were red, excoriated in some spots, and the lymph nodes under my jaw were tender and swollen. I could feel them. As a nurse, I knew immediately something was wrong and I knew exactly what I’d done to cause it.
And before anyone says “you’re a nurse, you should know better”, yes. I know. But let me say this out loud: healthcare professionals make the worst patients. We know too much and listen too little, especially to ourselves.
I stopped immediately, started saltwater rinses morning and night, and within three days my gums were back to normal.
The lesson? Not every DIY hack you see on the internet is safe. That could have turned into a serious gum or tooth infection. I got lucky.
Please do your research before putting anything new in your mouth or on your body. Your health is not a trend oooo😩

I didn’t grow up dreaming of being a nurse.
I came to Canada with an engineering degree, three kids, and a plan that looked nothing like this.
People ask me if I regret switching careers at 31.
Not once.
Not even on the hard days.
Because this career chose me just as much as I chose it.
