A couple of months back, I sat down with my journal as usual. This time around not to plan, not to jot dreams and aspirations, but to confront myself.

My realization stunned me!

And here is it. I had been running.
Running really hard. Working long hours, checking boxes, showing up for clients, but when I looked at the pages, when I really looked at the sum of all that hustle, I realized something that stopped me cold.

I wasn't moving forward. I was just moving.

Like a hamster on a wheel, burning energy but going nowhere. And that's when the truth hit me like a brick.

"My real problem wasn't lack of effort or lack of time. It was lack of direction".

Flipping through those pages had me going through a long jog down memory lane while shuffling the indexes of thoughts on my mind.

I simply didn't have clearly defined goals. I was just... existing. Reacting. Drifting through days that blurred into weeks, weeks that melted into months, and all I had to show for it was exhaustion and a vague sense of emptiness disguised as momentum.

It felt like being a ship with no compass, tossed around by every wave, carried by every current, ending up wherever the ocean decided. But Not exactly where I wanted to be

That realization was painful. But it was also the most liberating thing that ever happened to me. Because once you name the problem, you can finally start solving it.

And trust me, the problem wasn't what I thought it was. It never is

It also made me practice reflection some more and learn to slow down sometimes and check the maps of my vision to ensure I'm not speeding down the "heading now where express"

So if you've been feeling stuck, spinning your wheels, working hard but not getting anywhere... maybe it's time to ask yourself the same question I did:

Am I moving forward, or am I just moving?

That's because SPEED is useless without DIRECTION
