It’s been over a week since you left us, Daddy, and I still haven’t found the courage to make this post.

I honestly don’t know what to say. I don’t know how to put this pain into words. This is, without a doubt, the most painful thing I have ever had to write.

When the doctors confirmed that you were gone, I still held you. Your body was still warm, and I held on to you with so much hope. I shook you, called your name, and prayed that somehow, you would wake up and come back to us.

But you didn’t 😭😭

I held you all the way from the hospital to the mortuary, still hoping, still struggling to accept what had happened. That was one of the longest and most painful journeys of my life.

Even now, a part of me still feels like you will somehow come back.

Daddy, I miss you more than words can ever explain. Thank you for being my father, for loving us, and for everything you did for us. I will carry your love and the memories you gave me for the rest of my life.

I hope you are resting peacefully now.
