Kan een SPF de aanmaak van pigment voorkomen?

Het antwoord: NEE, maar waarom?
Een goede SPF werkt aan de buitenkant. Het houdt een deel van de UV-straling tegen, waardoor de huid minder wordt geprikkeld om pigment te maken.

Alleen het ingredient tranexaminezuur kan pigment aanmaak daadwerkelijk remmen. Het remt namelijk de signalen in de huid die pigmentcellen aanzetten tot extra pigmentaanmaak.

Daarnaast kan een hoge concentratie vitamine C helpen bij pigmentproblemen. Vitamine C remt het enzym dat betrokken is bij de aanmaak van pigment en werkt daarnaast als krachtige antioxidant om schade aan de huid door UV-straling te verminderen.
