Last Friday was all about beautiful brows! 🤎✨

Magda completed InLei Brow Bomber training! Her journey to perfect brow lamination started with a solid foundation of knowledge. 📚
(The theory is completed online through an e-learning platform, allowing students to learn at their own pace before joining me in the salon.)

Then comes the best part: hands-on practice during our in-person training, where every step is performed under my guidance.

Summer struggles: the glue just isn’t gluing! ☀️😱

Dear lash artist, have you ever wondered why your adhesive seems to stop working in summer and your clients come back with more fallout? ☀️✨

Several factors can affect retention during the warmer months. One of the biggest culprits is the heat itself. High temperatures directly impact the structure of the adhesive used during the application, causing it to polymerize much faster than intended. 🖤🌡️

This means your glue may behave differently, making perfect retention more challenging if you don’t adjust your technique and environment accordingly. 💫

Here are a few other factors that can lead to increased shedding during hot weather:

💦 More oil and sweat
Our skin produces more sweat during the summer months. Natural oils and perspiration can migrate to the eye area, weakening the adhesive bond over time.

🧴 Migration of skincare and makeup products
In summer, we tend to use more SPF products and waterproof makeup. Oily formulas that come into contact with the lash line can negatively impact retention.

🌿 Faster natural lash growth
Warmer months can speed up our metabolism, including the natural lash cycle. This means natural lashes may shed more quickly, taking the extensions attached to them along for the ride.

A little extra care and a few seasonal adjustments can make all the difference when it comes to achieving beautiful, long-lasting retention. 🤍

Artificial lashes often get a bad rep — super long (like caterpillars 🐛), plastic-looking, and you see the eyes before the whole face… but it really doesn’t have to be that way 🥹

These days we have beautiful, matte lashes that don’t shine from a distance. When styled properly, they enhance the iris instead of overpowering it ✨

Here you can see my client in a light volume set — and fun fact: the “artificial” lashes are actually shorter than her natural ones 🤗

We were going for lightness and a natural vibe, and this gorgeous brown shade kept everything soft and effortless 🤎
