Afgelopen weekend mocht ik voor de tweede keer meepraten in een podcast van Denice. Zij had voor deze aflevering ook de geweldig getalenteerde uitgenodigd. Make-up is not always about glamour and fashion.
To me most of the times it’s about channeling the person that is in front of you. Making them feel comfortable enough to open up to me and show me who they are.
I look at their features, their body language, how they move, listen to their story and the tone of their voice. We make eye contact and make a brief connection.
And if I do my job right a smile appears as I show them the mirror!

Lila and the Big Birds Have you ever seen more beautiful eyes?

American singer Ava Cherry and Rias Baarda ( lead singer 👩‍🎤 of Starman the Dutch David Bowie tribute),
The photos were taken by who introduced me to both. Ava Cherry is an American singer, former topmodel and in the 80’s she was a singer with David Bowie and Luther Vandross.
After this Photoshoot I had the pleasure of working with Ava and Rias at their shows at Paaspop And AFAS!
It is an honor to work with artist that carry such legacy! That’s for both Patricia and Ava!

is charity organization that helps the less fortunate children to have some positivity in their lives!

One of my favorite shoots with A couple of months before Marco made these portraits of Patricia we met her in a gallery in Amsterdam.
She asked us then and there to work together and create her portrait… and so we did!

Marco and I have met eachother at Rotterdam fashionweek. We than became friends and started a journey together in which we did a lot free work, art-work, commercial and editorial work! Needless to say I am proud of our collaboration and admire his talent and hard work!

With fine-art photographer I have had the opportunity to combine makeup, hair and styling in full freedom and since we are on the same level, in many ways, we create images that tell a story without using text…
