The North Sea Vikings began in 2021 with Jeff’s "Ice Ice Baby Challenge," a fundraiser for the Haagsche Rugby Club. What started as a bold idea has grown into a cherished tradition, bringing together brave souls to embrace the cold and support meaningful causes.

Now, it’s your turn to join us! Dive in, cheer us on, or donate to make a difference for children fighting cancer. Together, we’ll make this challenge unforgettable.

Hands massage practice is the place for a hot stone in The Hague and surrounding areas
Hot stone massage, as the name implies, is a massage that uses heated stones instead of palms and fingertips to apply pressure. I use special Basalt river rocks, a type of volcanic rock. These rocks have soft and smooth edges. They also have a large amount of iron and retain heat longer. The hot stones provide heat and pressure to the underlying muscle. Apart from this, I also use the stones as massage tools to massage deep tissues.

What happens during a hot stone massage?
The stones are heated in a professional stone heater at a temperature of 40-45°C. After heating, I apply massage oil to your body and place the stones. Stones can be placed on body parts such as:

Feet
Palms
Sight
Abdominal muscle
On the chest
Along the spine
After the stones have been placed for some time, I start with a conventional massage. Usually Swedish classical relaxation massage is combined with a hot stone massage. I use the hot stones to apply pressure to the superficial and deep muscles of your body. The heat of oil and stone causes the muscles to relax enormously. Hot stone massage techniques are the same, i.e. long strokes, circular movements, kneading, rolling and tapping. Each session lasts between 60 and 90 minutes.

Na de intake gaan we het behandelplan bespreken. Heel belangrijk is de communicatie niet alleen tijdens de intake maar zeker ook tijdens de behandeling, zal ook regelmatig feedback vragen aan jou. Er zijn diversen mogelijkheden tijdens de behandeling met tools, de Gun, cupping, bindweefsel, en natuurlijk ouderwets met de handen. Voor herstel na een zware inspanning is het ook mogelijk om een ijsbad sessie te boeken.
Dus wacht niet langer en pak de sportmassage om ervoor te zorgen dat blessures niet de overhand gaan krijgen.
