One thing I notice more and more is how difficult it can be to capture the true result of a color service in different lighting. ✨

For this balayage, we created soft, chunky highlights and blended everything seamlessly to give my client a low-maintenance look that can grow out beautifully without frequent color appointments.

To create a smooth transition, I used a slightly deeper gloss that melted the tones together perfectly. In fact, it blended so well that I would have loved a little more contrast to make the highlights stand out even more! But after a few washes, the gloss will soften and reveal the perfect balance of dimension and brightness.

We did chunky highlights throughout the whole hair with balayage technique to build dimension and glow! Used Silk lift ash and blue halv and halv 3% in the back and 6% developer in the front so the hair lifts almost at the same time.

These pictures are 8 months apart 🤍The first appointment was a full Airtouch with lightening throughout the whole hair. A whole 8 months later, the hair still blends beautifully with a soft and natural grow out.

Yes, Airtouch can be a bigger investment in the beginning, especially on darker hair because it takes more time, precision and care. But the result is a softer transition with no harsh lines and much less visible outgrowth compared to traditional highlights.

That means less maintenance, healthier hair over time, and the possibility to go much longer between bleaching appointments ✨
