✨ FRESH ANTI-EYEBROW ✨

How gorgeous does this anti-eyebrow look?!

We went with a 14mm titanium surface bar, finished with 4mm crystal diamontes on the top for that perfect little sparkle ✨

I’m absolutely loving how this sits with her anatomy — such a beautiful placement that adds something a little different without being too much.

As with all surface piercings, correct placement, jewellery choice and aftercare are super important.

How gorgeous does this fresh Ashley look on her anatomy?!

We went with a 12mm flat back finished with a beautiful crystal for that perfect little bit of sparkle

The longer post allows room for the initial swelling that comes with a fresh piercing. Once the swelling has settled and the piercing has had some time to heal, we’ll bring her back in for a downsize to a shorter post for a more comfortable, neat fit.

🤍 A LITTLE STUDIO UPDATE 🤍

We are still currently closed as we remain in hospital with my teenage daughter while she continues to recover.

We are really hoping to be able to come home tomorrow (we were supposed to be home today but have had an unexpected setback), but at this stage it’s still unknown and we are just taking things one day at a time.

I know many of you are waiting for appointments, and I truly appreciate your patience and understanding while our family navigates this unexpected situation. I will keep everyone who is booked in updated as soon as I know more.

Thank you so much for all the kind messages, love and support you have sent our way. It genuinely means more than you know. 🤍

Hopefully I’ll be back in the studio very soon. Until then, thank you for bearing with me while family comes first. 🤍

🤍 BARE CANVAS STUDIO — TEMPORARILY CLOSED 🤍

Unfortunately, Bare Canvas Studio is going to be temporarily closed while our family navigates a very unexpected and stressful situation.

We are currently stuck in Christchurch hospital with our 16-year-old, who has just had to undergo emergency surgery. It’s been an incredibly scary and overwhelming time for our family, and right now my focus needs to be on her and getting her home and well again. 🤍

Life has been very hectic outside of Bare Canvas Studio for our family lately, and unfortunately this is one of those times where family has to come first.

To everyone who is currently booked in over the coming week — I will personally be in touch with you regarding your appointment. At this stage, I can envision the studio being closed for at least the next week, but I will keep everyone updated as we know more.

I am so incredibly sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, and I really appreciate your patience, understanding and kindness while we get through this.

✨ Surface Tragus✨

There’s something so exciting about having an idea in your head, piecing it all together, and then finally getting to see that image come to life!

Today I added the final piece to one of my ear curations — a surface tragus using a 12mm titanium surface bar, finished with two gorgeous crystal-clear diamantes for that perfect little sparkle.

And I think I can officially say… this ear is DONE!

Now the big question… do I start on the other ear?! 😂👀

✨ Fresh second lobes! ✨

A gorgeous fresh set of second lobe piercings done today! My returning client decided to add a little extra sparkle with a jewellery upgrade to this crisp titanium leaf design — and just look at those diamantes!

Such a pretty, delicate addition that catches the light beautifully. The perfect little bit of sparkle without being too much!

✨ Fresh tongue piercing! ✨

A fresh tongue piercing done today, and how gorgeous does it look!

We’ve started her off with a 20mm barbell to allow plenty of room for the initial swelling. Once the swelling has settled, she’ll be back in the studio for her downsize to a more comfortable, shorter bar.

Proper initial jewellery sizing is so important with tongue piercings — we want to allow room for swelling while still planning ahead for that perfect fit once everything settles.
