And our journey to find the perfect stylist continues. We’re looking for someone who was born to be a hairdresser. That deeply engrained love of hairstyling that’s kept you on floor for years and still loving it. A human who is happy to work in and with a team. Someone who’s confident across the board. Short hair cutting, long hair styling, not intimidated by a full column and foils, balayages, creative colours, or just a tint. You don’t need to be like everyone else. You don’t have to be an extrovert. You can have your quirks- don’t we all? We just want someone to seamlessly slip into the team and love our clients like we do. You have to love your work though, because you will be busy. But you will also be supported. Invested in. Paid well. There won’t be any drama, so if you thrive on that we probably won’t fit. Our client base is broad, so are their professions, ages, needs. But we love to connect with them all. We just need another few stylists to help us out- and we’re open to some flexibility for the right fit. You will need the rights to work in NZ, and a vehicle because we are Kumeū based. Not all lighteners are created equal!

Our client came in asking for “blonde pieces,” with a beachy, surfer-girl inspiration photo. Since she’s in her final year of high school, I knew she needed something beautiful but also low-maintenance—without committing to an ultra-blonde look that would require frequent upkeep.

For this, I chose KEVIN.MURPHY CLAY, free.style which key ingredient is kaolin clay. It delivers beautiful lift while helping to maintain moisture throughout the lightening process. The result is controlled, natural-looking brightness without overdoing it.

I freehand painted the hair, blending and feathering the lightener up toward the roots and through the ends to create soft dimension, brightness, and a seamless grow-out.

The finished result is exactly what we were aiming for—sun-kissed, effortless blonde with a soft, healthy feel. Best of all, the hair stayed incredibly nourished and silky from start to finish, and our client absolutely loves it… so do we! 🤍 credit to Aneia for this look

A day dedicated to beautiful blondes, and this transformation was such a special one. 🩷

After my time away on maternity leave, lovely Indie had been patiently checking in to see when I’d be back. It was so lovely to finally welcome her back into my chair.

For today’s transformation, we created a beautifully bright yet seamless blonde using a full head of foils, balayaged pull-outs to enhance brightness and rebalance the existing colour, a softly smoked root for effortless grow-out, and a custom gloss finished with K18 to restore strength, hydration, and shine through the mids and ends.

The result is a luminous, healthy blonde with a soft, lived-in finish that will grow out beautifully.

Look, I’ll be honest. We arnt really very strong with our social media, in the moment we are focused on you. On our busy schedule, more often than not we forget to clean our camera lense, or we take a before and forget the after. Today I took photos and my shadow lurked over my beautiful work- a camera in hand. But occasionally, we take a pic and share it 🩷 I really loved this colour i did today, lots of technical sectioning, many bowls of formula to balance the result- and honestly one, if not the one favourite for Kim who I’ve looked after for 8 loyal years xx thanks for the fun session Kim, Aneia x yes I’ve cropped it so much even the gorgeous back ground just to remove my hand 😂
