🏔️ The South Island has turned into a "winter wonderland", thanks to the cold southerly outbreak.

❄️ Snow has fallen down to 3-400 metres over the South Island, with up to 1 metre of new snow recorded in the high country.

🥶 ❕Sunday will be a frosty morning, as far north as Auckland. Twizel has a forecast low of -7℃, while sheltered parts of Auckland will wake to 0℃.

It snowed quite heavily overnight and there is about 40 - 50 cm of snow on the Plateau. The road is closed at present and I will update on here when it opens. Temp at the plateau is 5 degrees with variable wind speed all morning. Checkout the Primo webcams
