Getting ready for World Diabetes Day next week, Diabetes Foundation Aotearoa, MHT Diabetes Trust , Diabetes Christchurch and Diabetes Wellington have collaborated on several projects including a questionnaire to look more at the situation in workplaces in Aotearoa New Zealand in relation to diabetes. What is already in place for workers, what challenges are there, what help is needed, are among the questions. The Diabetes Foundation Aotearoa Gardens4Health team are looking for an enthusiastic and self-directed person with outstanding knowledge and practical skills in sustainable food gardening. As part of this exciting initiative to “make food gardening the norm” this part time role provides guidance to community groups setting up and maintaining community gardens in Tamaki Makaurau.
