From a spare room in my home five years ago to transforming it into a one-station, home hair & make up salon. ✂️💄

Although this modest salon has not generated substantial profits due to escalating costs of supplies and bills, it has provided a rich experience filled with laughter, meaningful conversations, tears, coffee, tea, and treats for my clients during each visit, culminating in lasting friendships. 🥰

Today marked my final day of client appointments. 😔

As I embark on a new adventure for the next year, I am uncertain about my future endeavors upon my return. I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to each of you for entrusting me with your hair and makeup services. 🏝️

And…. Drum roll….. Julie was my very first hair client in my little home salon, and today she was my final client.

I did full head foils & treatment to revitalise her dull hair , along with a nice trim to thicken the ends of her hair.

She has very fine hair, but after this transformation, her hair looked crisp, clean, and more full.

My last day in my salon! 💇‍♀️

I felt sad saying good-bye to Margaret for her final hair cut and blow wave.

She embodies the warmth and kindness of a loving grandmother, uplifting me each time i see her, for her monthly hair cuts. I will deeply miss her. ❤️

She’s been with me for years, and yesterday was her final visit in my little home salon… (well, until I’m back at the end of next year of course 😜).

I’ve only got one more Saturday left to finish up with my amazing clients before I pack the salon away.

Big changes are ahead – an exciting adventure awaits me for the next year! 🧳✈️💫

My little champion had his very first haircut tonight. Hes growing so fast!

He wanted it done before his “Aunty Karen Neighbour” left NZ. ✈️

Arlo is 3… and he sat more still than most adults! I was incredibly proud of him ❤️.

He’s now a miniature version of his favourite super hero with his brand new haircut 🕷️ 🧍‍♂️

It is with great excitement that I announce the temporary closure of my home salon for just over a year! 🎉🍾 (I will be back … end of 2026)

I have been presented with an incredible opportunity to serve as a senior advisor to the police in the Solomon Islands 🇸🇧.

My last day of clients will be Saturday, 13th September.

Unfortunately, my appointment book is fully committed, and I no longer have any availability.

I am looking forward to seeing my regular clients for their final appointment with me (and my furry apprentice Bailey).

For those who have missed out, my sincere apologies. It would have been amazing to see you all and to thank you in person for supporting my little business. I have a crazy busy few weeks ahead with packing, prepping to leave, & getting my home ready for new tenants.

Yesterday’s client Brandy.

She’s one busy lady training nurses at Caci Clinic, and running her own business with aesthetics/ injectables.

I’ve been telling her off for colouring her own hair far too often & using chemist colours as it limits what hairdressers can do. 🙄

We did 1/2 head PL foils, taking some depth out and cleaning it out, resulting in a nice honey blonde. 👱‍♀️ she loved the result and was ready to tackle a presentation today. 💃
