Our Story

Welcome to the wonderful world of safe and natural tanning! Puretan provides you with the latest technology delivering High Volume Low Pressure Tanning (HVLP). Combined with this high tech delivery system Puretan uses an active ingredient, DHA – Dihydroxyacetone. This is a colourless sugar, derived from a vegetable source. It reacts with skin proteins in the outermost layer of the skin. It is recognised as a non-hazardous compound and causes no adverse reaction in moderate quantities. Organic argan oil is infused with DHA to maximize brilliant results and promote intense nourishment. Puretan delivers a safe and gorgeous golden tan all year round.

"I got into the spray tanning business really quite by accident! I was asked by close girlfriends if I could do their make up for balls and parties. Soon this eventuated to helping my friends daughters’ prepare for special occasions that required the whole beauty regime. I was concerned that so many were worried about their tans and trying to achieve a natural looking glow using U.V rays. So I thought “there has to be a better way” and after extensive research into natural tanning solutions, Puretan was created!

I believe that everyone has the right to look and feel gorgeous. Having come from a nursing background and as someone who teaches Senior Health to students I am an advocate of safe beauty. I am in my late 40’s and have always been interested in enhancing natural beauty. I enjoy making a difference to people’s beauty regime knowing that what I deliver is safe, natural and inexpensive.

My passion is to help people realise that beauty truly comes from within however we are able to enhance any aspect of our physical appearance to further our self-esteem and confidence. “ I just love seeing a difference in my client’s happiness especially knowing that this is a safe and natural way of tanning and looking great.”
