15 years ago, Green Trading began with a very personal story.
It all started during a visit to our family GP, who asked us, "You must know Neem?" He told us about its long history of traditional use and how difficult it was to find good-quality Neem oil here in New Zealand.
Around the same time, a friend's dog was experiencing skin issues, and their homeopathic vet had also suggested Neem oil. It felt like Neem kept finding its way into our lives!
So, despite its rather distinctive smell 😄, we decided to bring good-quality Neem oil to New Zealand, along with a range of vital Ayurvedic products.
When it arrived, we made room in our garage with the help of our children, bribed them with pizza and ice cream, of course! And Green Trading began.
Our first market was Titirangi Village Market. As interest grew, we developed Nativeneem, our own dedicated Neem range, formulated and grown with the same care and quality we started with. It's since become a trusted name in natural pest control and plant care for home gardens and horticulturists alike.
Slowly and steadily, we grew, eventually reaching customers across New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan.
Later, we began creating personal care products with Neem for our children's sensitive skin. Friends and family loved them, and soon others were asking where they could buy them too.
Today, we're incredibly proud to celebrate 15 years of Green Trading and grateful to everyone who has supported us along the way.
