So...while everything else seems to be getting more expensive, I've decided to go against the trend...
๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
For a little while, I'm making my sessions more accessible because I know so many people are carrying a lot right nowโand too often, their own wellbeing is the first thing to be put on hold.

โจ A 60-second reset
Today, pause for just a moment.
Notice the sensations in your body.
Feel the temperature of the air on your skin.
Listen to the sounds around you.
Notice any smells.
Touch something with intention.
Then give yourself a gentle hug, take one slow breath, and carry on with your day.
Sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is simply come back to the present moment. ๐ค
Do reach out if you need extra support ๐๐
Happy Tuesday!
Fun times = healing times
Healing doesn't always have to be all sweat and tears. Sometimes it starts with simply having a little fun and reconnecting with your body.
A little experiment...
I've been curious about what happens when we spend just a few minutes each day combining tapping with a simple, positive song.
I'm going to do this every day for a week and pay attention to how I feel.
Anyone want to join me? Comment "I'm in" and let's compare notes in seven days. ๐
( details in the comments)
Happy chirping!
(I didn't write this song, it's been doing the rounds on social media and doesn't seem to have a clear source)

Available appointments: โจ Tuesday 7 July โจ Monday 13 July โจ Tuesday 14 July
If these dates don't work for you, please send me a message anyway. I'll do my best to find another time.

I don't believe we spend our lives becoming who we are.
I believe we spend much of our lives forgetting. Forgetting our own nature, the wisdom of the body, forgetting our place within nature.
life happens.
We adapt. We learn who we need to be to be accepted.
To be loved. To be safe. To survive.
Those adaptations often serve us for a time. But they are not who we are.
To me, healing isn't about becoming someone new.
It's about gently letting go of everything that no longer belongs
The fears, the conditioning, the borrowed beliefs, the identities built from survival.
Until what remains..is who we've always been.
Perhaps that's why being in nature feels so restorative. Nature doesn't pretend to be something it isn't. An oak doesn't try to become a pine. A river doesn't ask for permission to flow. A bird doesn't question whether it deserves to sing.
Everything in nature flourishes by expressing its own essence.
And perhaps we do too.
With love,
Jess

I think we've become so good at surviving...
that many of us no longer realise we're doing it.
Survival doesn't always look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like overthinking.
Always being busy. People pleasing. Never resting. Never asking for help.
Always being "fine."
Little by little, these ways of surviving become so familiar that we mistake them for our personality.
But what if they're not?
What if they're simply the ways your body learnt to protect you?
๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฟ
I created The Many Faces of Survival to help people recognise these patternsโnot so we can judge them, but so we can begin to understand them.
If you'd like a copy of the poster, comment SURVIVAL below and I'll send it to you. ๐ค
And maybe while you're reading it, ask yourself one question...
Which parts of me are truly me... and which parts did I learn just to survive?

My Biggest Breakthrough
For years, I tried to understand myself.
I read the books.
I studied the theories.
I explored personal development, spirituality, psychosomatics, astrology, numerology, and countless other tools.
They all helped.
But I was always just searching for answers in my head.
Then one day, during a fascia therapy session, something unexpected happened.
A wave of emotion rose through me.
I closed my eyes.
And there, in my mind's eye, I saw my body curled up in the corner of a dark grey room, like a forgotten child.
It was crying. Over and over, it repeated:
"What about me?" "You forgot about me."
And for the first time, I criedโnot because of my body, but for my body.
Most of my life I thought everything was wrong with it but in reality, all along, it had been doing absolutely everything to keep me safe, to support me, to save me.
I hadnt realised how much I had abandoned it.
That moment changed everything.
Because healing became about rebuilding a relationship with my greatest ally with... my body.
^^^^^^
I don't think we're broken.
I think there are parts of us that have been carrying more than we realise.
Parts we've pushed aside.
Parts we've stopped listening to
And sometimes, healing begins the moment those parts finally feel seen.
And when they do, we can finally stop fighting ourselves.

My why.
โ ๏ธ It's long. That's what happens when you ask me deep questions!!
๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ
A friend yesterday asked me, "Why do you do this work?"
I replied, "I just want to help people."
It sounded like a decent answer at the time.
But it bugged me all day.
And at 4.30 this morning (thanx kids!) I remembered.
I want to help people remember.
I spent most of my life disconnected from myself.
I hated what I saw in the mirror.
I hated my too-big emotions, my fears, my frustrations, my mistakes, my past, present and future..
Basically, if it was part of me, I probably didn't like it very much.
So I drank and I smoked like a chimney.
I smoked because I drank and drank so I could smoke more.
Healthy coping mechanisms were never my thing!
I put myself in dangerous situations (I honestly sometimes wonder how Im still alive!)
I worked jobs that drained the life out of me. Long hours on my feet. Forgetting i needed to hydrate, eat, breathe, pause. Never standing up for myself, I let people treat me like s**t because I genuinely thought I was the problem and I didn't have anything to say about it.
Going to bed drunk at 1am and dragging myself out of bed at 6.30am to do it all over again, was the norm.
It wasn't living.
It wasn't even surviving.
It was self-destruction.
Then I met my husband and suddenly life became precious. I stopped all the bad habits, moved countries again and settled down. The noise stopped.
And for the first time, I could hear my body.
Pain, inflammation, exhaustion, anxiety, weight gain, food intolerances, loss of libido, life threatening child birth...
A body that seemed to be collecting symptoms like Pokรฉmon cards (thanx hubby for the metaphore!)
I thought my body was failing me.
But it wasn't.
My body had been keeping me alive the whole bloody time.
Every symptom, every reaction, every ache and pain was trying to tell me something.
Not that I was broken or that I needed fixing but that I needed to listen....and remember.
Remember that my body wasn't the enemy.
Remember that my emotions weren't wrong.
Remember that underneath all the coping, surviving, performing and pretending, there was never actually anything wrong with me.
We are all beautifully complex beings in incredibly sophisticated bodies that are constantly helping us survive, adapt and evolve in this amazing but oh! so fu**ed up world.
I'm still not in love with my body (although very grateful for it now), still holding onto stuff, still learning but I think that's why I do this work....
Because I know what it's like to forget who you are and I know what it's like when someone helps you feel safe enough to remember.
Safe enough to feel the feels.
Safe enough to listen to what your body is trying to say.
Safe, loved and supported for everything that you are.
And one thing is for sure, we all fu***ng deserve it.
