Just a little update on my recovery...

I had a hospital visit this week, and my cast is finally off, YAY!! There's still alot of swelling and bruising, but stitches and wounds are looking good. I will be starting physio and rehab in two weeks and am allowed to slowly start taking a few steps (with walking aids). I am so excited to be getting my butt out of bed! Baby steps in the right direction 👣

So just a little update...
My lovely weekend away in Queenstown took an unexpected turn, and lead me to being airlifted to Dunedin hospital.
I slipped on some stairs at a lookout point.
I dislocated, and badly broke my right ankle in three places, plus a vertical bone split. I have had 2 surgeries and now have 2 plates, 3 screws and mesh wire holding my right ankle together.
The left ankle has badly torn ligaments but thankfully appears not to be fractured.

After a long stay in Dunedin Hospital, I am very happy to finally to be back at home to recover.
Sadly I will be unable to see you for the next 8 -12 weeks. But I am determined to heal well, get better, and be back on deck as soon as I can. In the meantime, I appreciate all your kind messages, understanding and patience.

I will keep you updated on my progress.
