Part 2 - Day 2 of my workshop with Mia Connor we did a Sultry Eye. Lots of blending and smoking out all over the eye. This was personally quite challenging because it’s not an eye I am consistently doing for clients. Also, I was learning new techniques and trying to switch things up a bit. However, it was really nice to be able to take my time and enjoy what I love doing without feeling rushed!

A moment for my beautiful bride Alisha who was married on Waiheke.

Here are a few things I love when working with brides on their big day.

✨Natural light - we need the best natural lighting to work dat magic!

✨ A table - although we are use to setting up anywhere, a clear table or something similar is 100% ideal.

✨Bridal delegation - I really like to make sure that the bride has uninterrupted time in my seat. This gives her a chance to just sit and be still as the chaos leading up to the wedding can be a lot. 99% of the time the bride is always asked multiple questions while sitting in the chair (by this point I am probably doing her eye liner). Have a person you can delegate everything to so you can have a moment of stillness and enjoy a little facial massage from me.
