Don't you just love LOVE? Lovers, family (including animals, of course), friends, plants... love is what makes life beautiful and worth living.

Today we celebrate 6 years together and in a few weeks, 4 years since our magical backyard wedding. We did a photoshoot with the talented Yaryna at her studio to celebrate our wee milestone.

There is no one in the world I would rather spend my good, bad and average days with. I am extraordinarily grateful for this beautiful, generous, funny human who I get to share my life and fur babies with ❤️

The practice of daily gratitude and mindfulness is something I encourage people to do. There is no time like the present.

Stressed? Walk it out!

→ Cortisol and adrenaline come down
→ Your nervous system gets the message that you're safe
→ The steady left-right rhythm calms your brain
→ Mood-lifting chemicals show up

Gentle walking amongst the native shrubbery is always lush and calming. On the other hand, power walking is fun to watch/do (so much harder than running IMO).

What kind of walking do you enjoy?

Take accountability for your s**t 💩

Accountability is a health habit. Health runs on what you do repeatedly, and you can't change what you won't admit to.

If you skip training and blame your schedule, nothing changes. If you say "I skipped three sessions because I didn't plan them in," you've got something to fix. Same with food, sleep, and stress. Tracking, adjusting, and showing up again all start with honesty.

It also keeps you out of the all-or-nothing trap. People who own a bad week without spiralling tend to bounce back faster than people who make excuses or beat themselves up. Excuses keep you stuck, and shame can make you quit. Accountability is the bit in the middle where you say "sucks that happened, but here's the next move."

Nothing Else Matters more than your health.
🥗 Gimme fuel
🔥 Gimme fire
❤️ Gimme that which I desire

When it comes to sleep hygiene:
💡 Exit light (below 10 lux three hours before bed)
🌙 Enter night (black out curtains or eye mask)

Yeah we love Metallica

Special mention to hubby for (reluctantly) agreeing to do these silly/cringe ideas I have. He happens to be very shy 🤭

My clients **mostly** enjoy the training. They're blown away by the benefits of certain exercises they'd never pick of their own volition 😝

The funny thing is, Peter seems to enjoy everything we do, never once complaining about an exercise 🤣 (true story).

❤️

The face of someone who loves me and is also drafting my obituary in her head. Coaching is a beautiful thing ❤️

The smiling assassin 🥷 (and professional cheerleader for people who think they can't)

"Love what you do and you never work a day in your life." Imagine loving exercise so much it feels like pure bliss or going from hating it to thinking it's alright.

That's what I get to see, and it's bloody marvellous. People going from self-doubt to self-love and trusting their bodies again.

The bit I love most is when stuff starts changing outside the gym. They sleep better, carry the shopping in one trip like it ain't no thang, and start eating more mindfully. Nobody sends me a message saying "my squats went up 10kg" and leaves it there; it's stuff like "I picked up my kid and my back didn't hate me." 💥

I live for strength training, but I don’t neglect mobility, stability, cardio, nutrition, recovery and mental/emotional/social/spiritual health. They are all important and must work together. Let's not forget the F word - FUN!

Sooooooooo, if you want to work on all of you and not just one bit, come see me. I'm easy to talk to, I'll (probably) make you laugh, and I'll make you sweat. Unless you are someone that doesn't sweat, in which case, I will raise your temperature 😁

Spaces are limited (not just saying that, I'm studying and working full-time), and then I'm away for 5 weeks from the end of October. So why take on new clients? Two reasons: I love seeing what changes people are capable of, and holidays aren’t free 😝

Why sign up for just a few weeks? You can get a proper head start and a program to run while I'm gone, then we can carry on when I'm back, if you like me and all that jazz.

I train consistently so I can live life to the fullest!

Over the years, that's meant a random list of trying stuff:

🥊Trained in a few different martial arts, and ended up fighting along the way - MMA, boxing, and kickboxing (3-0 striking record), plus several grappling/BJJ fights, where I fortunately became 2x National Champion

🏃‍♀️Ran a bunch of half marathons (15+) and a couple of marathons, mostly just to see if I could

🪑 Somehow ended up holding the AUT wall sit record 17 minutes, 1 second

⛰️ Climbed many mountains, including three high-altitude ones in South America back-to-back within 2.5 weeks: Volcan Lascar (5592m), Rainbow Mountain (5200m), and Huayna Potosi (6088m)

🏄‍♀️ Surfed one successful barrel (Uluwatu on a pumping day), on a wave that was waaaay too advanced for me - tried again a few times after and felt genuinely close to death

🏍 Bungy jumping, skydiving, biking Death Road, jumping off high stuff, doing wicked roadies with my ‘motorcycle gang,’ all the classic "why not" stuff

Although I still have strength goals, these days I care less about being good at things and more about just having fun with movement. I enjoy diving, ice skating, dancing, and now bouldering, among other things.

Everyone dies, but not everyone lives. Are you living?

Just messing around with some inversions and royal dancer, 'coz why not?

You don't need a reason to move in a way that makes you feel good. Try something that makes you feel like a kid again.
