Making Float Therapy More Accessible 🤍

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been listening closely to our customers and learning more about what makes it easier — or harder — for people to access float therapy.

One thing we heard consistently was that price can be a barrier, particularly for people who could genuinely benefit from regular float therapy and recovery.

We’ve taken that feedback seriously.

At the same time, we want to continue protecting the quality, value and experience that you’ve come to expect from us.

So, we’ve created two pricing options:

The Community Price is about creating greater access to float therapy, while allowing us to continue delivering the same private-room experience and quality.

We believe wellbeing shouldn’t be something that only a few people can afford.

Over the past few months, our team has been working quietly behind the scenes to better understand our customers — what they value, what they struggle with, and what might be stopping them from experiencing float therapy.

Recently, close to 300 people took the time to complete our market survey.

The feedback was incredibly valuable. And one message came through more strongly than anything else:

For many people, the price is the biggest barrier to trying or returning to float therapy.

But something else really opened our eyes.

It’s not always just the cost of the float.

One customer talked about what we’ve started calling the “indirect add-on costs” — things like having to pay for a babysitter just to create the time and space to come in for a session.

Another customer told us that paying for one float could make it harder for them to cover their rent.

That one really stayed with us.

Because behind every purchase is a person.

A parent.
A partner.
Someone working hard to make ends meet.
Someone dealing with stress, anxiety, exhaustion or simply trying to find a little time for themselves.

And we started asking ourselves a pretty uncomfortable question:

If we believe float therapy can genuinely contribute to people’s wellbeing, should cost be such a significant barrier to accessing it?

As a business, we obviously have to consider our own costs and sustainability. But we also believe businesses have an opportunity to listen when their customers tell them something important.

So rather than simply looking at the numbers, we’ve been looking at the bigger picture.

How can we make float therapy more accessible, while still building a sustainable business that can continue serving our community for years to come?

We don’t have every answer yet.

But we do know this:

We’re listening.

Infinity Float Centre just got even bigger!

After weeks of negotiations, we have managed to secure the bottom section of the building next door (outlined in red).

This expansion will help Infinity Float Centre increase its offerings to include:

Our vision is to provide a health and wellbeing environment for our community within close proximity of our other wellbeing centres such as Premier Fitness and Hungi Cafe.

Mental health is a massive issue in NZ, and we want to help contribute to addressing this problem.

We are writing to inform you of a recent change in the management and ownership of Infinity Float Centre Botany. As of Monday, 22 June 2026, Infinity Float has been acquired by Fitness Sci Tec Ltd, the parent company of Premier Fitness Botany 24/7 Gym.

Fitness Sci Tec Ltd is led by Motekiai Tangi, a New Zealand-based operator involved in coordinating Health New Zealand service delivery for diabetic patients across the northern region. This work includes HbA1c blood testing, lipid profile assessments, patient result analysis, and exercise programme prescriptions.

Motekiai Tangi brings broad experience across public service, community engagement, and health-focused initiatives. He previously served as Magistrate Adviser for Queensland Corrective Services in Townsville, Australia, and later worked as an Activations Advisor for Auckland Council, where he managed funding for the Howick and Papatoetoe–Ōtara local boards. This background has given him a strong understanding of the area’s diverse communities.

We understand that change can bring uncertainty, and we welcome you to contact us with any questions or concerns.

Infinity Float Centre Botany will keep its current name, but customers will notice several improvements. Float therapy and recovery memberships will now include gym membership options, access to a free body composition scanners, and heavily discounted pricing at our new high-protein café.

We will also introduce new communication systems to make it easier for customers to share feedback, concerns, and suggestions.
