This year I lost two very special machines … one from my first mother-in-law (purchased for $50 in 1994), and one from my aunt (the machine I learnt to sew on).
Between them … I couldn’t even begin to count how many quilts they’ve made 💙

Both ended up at the sewing machine “cemetery” 🪦🧵

Bill from CONSEW in Lansford Cres has been servicing my machines for years. Once he had a team of eight… now it’s just him 🛠️ still fixing, still showing up ⚒️

Last week I brought home a “new to me” Bernina 830 🧵 The Mercedes of sewing machines 🪩 solid, reliable, and built to last.

A proper classic … and hopefully a future heirloom 💙
