🇼🇸 SAMOA, LET’S TALANOA. 🤍

Anne-Marie is already in Samoa, and we’re so excited to share that The Immaculate Cafe and Religious Shop has kindly opened their café for a special morning of connection and conversation.

📅 Wednesday 23 September
⏰ 10am–1pm
📍 Immaculate Cafe & Religious Shop

☕ 10am–11am: Come along, grab a coffee and have a casual talanoa with Anne-Marie.

🤍 11am–1pm: We have 4 special spots available for anyone who would like to sit down, share their story and have a deeper conversation with Anne-Marie.

Those 4 guests will also receive some Good Grief Collective merch + lunch on us. 🤎 Come along, grab a coffee, sit down and have a talanoa with Anne-Marie.

There’s no agenda. No pressure. Just a safe space to connect, talk, share, listen — or simply sit with someone who understands.

If you’d like to book one of the 4 spots or share your story, send us a DM. You can also DM us if you’d simply like to come along for a coffee and talanoa.

Know someone who might appreciate this?
Tag them below or send them our way. 🤍

Samoa, we’d love to see you. 🇼🇸

Monday reflection 🤍

What’s one memory that always makes you smile?

Maybe it’s a silly moment, a family gathering, a favourite place, a song, or something completely ordinary that you’ll never forget.

Share it with us in the comments. 🌿

Sometimes remembering the good moments can bring a little light to the day.

Some of our favourite moments are the simple ones. 🤍

A conversation.
A shared laugh.
Someone feeling heard.
People coming together and realising they’re not alone.

Here’s a little look back at some of the connections made through our Good Grief Collective community.

Thank you to everyone who continues to show up, share and support one another. 🌿

Sometimes grief doesn’t look like grief.

Someone might be at work, laughing with their mates, looking after the kids, posting on Facebook or Instagram, grabbing a coffee and getting on with everyday life.

And we might think, “They seem okay.”

But what we see is only the tip of the iceberg.

Underneath, they might be missing someone in all the little moments. Dreading the next birthday or anniversary. Feeling completely exhausted. Questioning what life looks like now. Holding it together for their whānau. Or having a good day and then feeling guilty for enjoying it.

Grief can be messy. It can change from one day to the next. And sometimes, you can be doing “okay” and still really miss someone.

This isn’t a checklist of what grief should look like. It’s simply a reminder that we don’t always know what someone is carrying.

So check in.
Give them space.
Listen when they want to talk.
And remember — just because someone is carrying on, doesn’t mean they’ve stopped grieving. 🤍

You never really know what’s happening beneath the surface.

Grief isn't something we "get over."
It's something we learn to carry.
Every person's journey is different, and there's no right or wrong way to grieve.
If someone you care about is grieving, sometimes your presence is the greatest gift you can offer.
💚 Save this post to come back to when you need the reminder.
