Using a sauna 4–7 times a week reduces your risk of sudden cardiac death by 63%. That's not a wellness trend. That's JAMA."
"A 20-minute sauna session spikes your growth hormone by up to 300%. Same effect as a workout. No reps required."
"4–7 sauna sessions a week: 66% lower risk of dementia. 65% lower risk of Alzheimer's. The research is in."
"A single heat therapy session produced antidepressant effects that lasted 6 weeks. One session."
"Sauna is passive exercise for your heart. Heart rate hits 150 bpm. Arteries get more flexible. Blood pressure drops. All while sitting still."
"Only 1–2% of sudden deaths occur within 24 hours of sauna use. But only when combined with alcohol. Don't mix the two."
"The Finns have been onto something for thousands of years. 20-year study of 2,315 men confirmed it: regular sauna use cuts all-cause mortality by 40%."

It is compelling evidence ...

Enjoy your day ..

DAY 3 OF THE 10 DAY DETOX πŸŒ…
Woke up to this sunrise this morning and just sat with it for a minute.
There's something about that stillness β€” that freshness before the world wakes up β€” that mirrors exactly what we're doing to our bodies right now. Stripping things back. Letting the noise settle. Giving the system space to reset.
Real talk though β€” yesterday wasn't all sunrises and stillness for me.
I was irritable. Properly craving protein and carbs. Even with the plant-based powder giving me all 9 essential amino acids, my body was still asking for something more, and my head knew it but my body didn't want to listen.
So what did I do? Pushed the gym harder than I should have. Classic me β€” not smart, and honestly not what this phase calls for. Easing in means easing in, not white-knuckling through it like it's business as usual.
Lesson learned. Today I'm pulling back β€” stretching, sauna, letting my body actually do the work it's trying to do instead of pushing.
That's the real story of a detox. It's not 10 days of feeling amazing. It's 10 days of listening β€” to the cravings, the irritability, the moments you push too hard β€” and course-correcting instead of muscling through.
If you're doing this with me, how's Day 3 treating you? Be honest β€” that's where the growth is πŸ’ͺ

TOP THREE REASONS I'M STOKED FOR OUR 10 DAY DETOX πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈπŸ€ΈπŸ½β€β™‚οΈπŸ€ΈπŸΌ
⟴ MORE ENERGY
⟴ IMPROVED GUT HEALTH
⟴ Clarity

Anyone who knows me knows I take my health seriously β€” the food, the sauna, the cold plunge, the training. I've built my whole life around it, especially after what I went through with my own health years back. That period taught me something I still lean on today: doing the right things isn't always enough. Sometimes the body needs a proper reset, not just more of the same.
That's where the 10 Day Detox comes in πŸ”₯
This program has been smashing it with our team over in Europe and in New Zealand and Australia.

Here's the reality β€” our bodies are under siege every single day. The air, the food, the products we use without a second thought. Our tΕ«puna didn't have to deal with the processed rubbish and chemical load we're exposed to now, and it adds up. Fatigue. Gut issues. Skin flare-ups. A immune system that's always playing catch-up.

Detoxing isn't about punishment β€” it's about giving your liver and kidneys the support they need to do their job properly. Whole kai, real hydration, leafy greens, berries, cruciferous vegetables β€” these aren't buzzwords, they're tools that actually help your body clear what it's carrying.
And when it works, you feel it β€” more energy, better digestion, sharper thinking, better skin, better sleep, and a system that's not constantly under pressure.
Now β€” let's kill a couple of myths, because I hear these all the time:
"Detoxing means starving yourself or living on juice." Nah. A proper detox is built on balanced, nutrient-dense kai that works with your body, not against it.
"It's just a weight loss thing." Weight loss might come along for the ride, but that's not the point. This is about your whole system running better β€” that's the real win.
I'm putting together a VIP list for anyone keen to join me for our September Detox. Comment DETOX, drop a 🀍, or flick me a DM and I'll send you everything you need.
Let's do this properly, together πŸ’ͺ

Final days to join us for AUGUST 🀩
Real talk β€” it's been a while since I've done the Detox, and my body has been telling me it's time. I've done this twice before and both times I was blown away by how good I felt and looked. That "on top of the world" feeling doesn't just show up on its own β€” you have to go and get it.
So this August, I'm jumping back in. Not because I've fallen off a cliff, but because I know exactly what this program gives me and I'm not willing to leave that on the table any longer.
That's when our DETOX program dropped two years ago, and it's still the framework I come back to when I need to reset. Backed by the JuicePlus+ Complete and Perform stack, it's not a quick fix, it's the blueprint that works every time I run it.
What it's actually given me:
βœ”οΈ Energy and vitality back within days
βœ”οΈ Results that stick β€” not a 30-day flash in the pan
βœ”οΈ A body and mind that can still go the distance, on and off the field
βœ”οΈ Confidence walking into my mid-50s stronger than I was in my 30s
We start Monday β€” just 3 days left to jump in and reset with me. The best time to start was yesterday. The next best time is Monday.
Drop a 🩷 below or flick me a DM if you're ready to take back your health.

Why calves are called the "second heart"
Calf muscles (gastrocnemius and soleus) sit below the heart, so blood in the legs has to fight gravity to return. Every time the calf contracts, it squeezes the deep veins and pushes blood upward through one-way valves β€” acting as a muscular pump that assists venous return. This is called the "skeletal muscle pump" or "peripheral heart."
Benefits of strong legs/calves
Circulation β€” efficient venous return reduces pooling, swelling, and risk of DVT (deep vein thrombosis), especially with age or prolonged sitting
Blood pressure regulation β€” better venous return supports stable cardiac output and reduces strain on the heart
Metabolic health β€” legs hold the largest muscle mass in the body; strong leg muscles improve glucose uptake and insulin sensitivity
Fall prevention & longevity β€” leg strength (especially calf and quad power) is one of the strongest predictors of mobility and independence in older age; declining leg strength correlates with higher all-cause mortality risk
VO2 max and endurance β€” calf strength contributes to running/walking economy and power output
Lymphatic drainage β€” muscle contraction also helps move lymph fluid, supporting immune function
