RUOK?
Now more than ever is a time to check in on our friends and family, to connect in new ways, when it can't always be face to face - and to share support and strategies for keeping our mental and physical health in good shape.

Physical activity is such an important way to keep our minds and bodies feeling good - whether you workout alongside your kids, take some time on your own, get fresh air outside, move fast or slow. Give things a try, commit a little bit of time each day to moving.

If you need some accountability, a plan to follow, with exercise ideas -
I'm running online group classes - which you can do at a time that suits you. 3 new workouts each week - not complicated or high impact, just building strength, raising our heart rate and enjoying some natural endorphins - message me for more information. I'm here to help ❤️

On Friday we had the last Foxfit group session in Greenhithe 😭
It's been an absolutely amazing experience coaching the lovely women of Greenhithe for the past 2.5 years- and I wouldn't change it for the world!
Yes there are some fitter, stronger mums walking around who know what a good squat looks like 😅 ..but more importantly there is a bunch of happy women, who know how to keep themselves feeling sane, and who have a great little support unit of local friends.

Foxfit has turned into the business of my dreams - a haven for women to uplift each other and learn how to master their own health and fitness.

A massive thank you to my ladies, and to those who supported me by sharing about my coaching, asking how it was going, and being there for me too.

Thank you to Tim, for supporting me in starting Foxfit and always encouraging me.

This is not the end... but I am taking a pause while we move and resettle in Havelock North.

Missing Greenhithe already xx

Ps. I would LOVE it if you dropped a note below saying what you most loved about Foxfit 🧡
Pps. Obviously time for a blackboard clean 😅

Motivation to keep exercising ... where does it come from?
The truth is it's hard to set a goal, make a plan and keep showing up for yourself. Here are some top tips for keeping that motivation alive.
💫 set a goal, imagine yourself achieving it, keep repeating those images in your head, if it feels unachievable or a bit too big then also have a smaller step goal. If you want to run a 5k, maybe first you want to focus on building a habit of 3 runs per week, then running 1k, and so on.
💫 make a detailed plan for how you are working towards your goal this week - what habits, what thoughts and actions do you need to put in place this week and today - less is more in this case, we want to finish the week feeling like we really smashed it, because that's going to encourage us to keep going!
💫 find an accountability buddy - grab a friend, hire a trainer, or even just write your weeks plan and pop it in a place your kids can see - let other people tell you what an awesome job you're doing.
💫 build specific habits - habits what will get you through on those days when you doubt yourself or can't find where you left your motivation. On Tuesday I go to the gym in the morning.
💫 listen to your body, but keep it honest. Sometimes you need rest and sometimes we just need to accept that plans change and tomorrow is a new day. Don't beat yourself up, that being said - sometimes all you need is to take the first step, get those workout clothes on - or just commit to a 5 minute walk and see how you feel. Exercise is such a great mood booster, you might be surprised 😉

Swim season is open!
The difference for me between being bikini ready and not quite feeling it involves:
👙 swimwear that I love, is comfortable and fits
🩱some self care - fake tan, moisturising etc
🧜‍♀️ self love and respect - which i feed by showing up for myself, eating nourishing foods, and exercising my body.

Whats your bikini body plan? 💋

If you are looking for a way to tweak your diet, and get more benefits from the foods you are eating... add protein and veges.
Most women can benefit from increasing protein in their diet, it makes you feel more satisfied with your meal for longer- which reduces that pantry stalk an hour after each meal 🤭
Thanks to for the image

Term 4 is just around the corner!
If you're ready to add some more exercise to your week, I'm here to help.
I am running 3 classes per week - designed to improve your fitness, increase your strength and muscle definition, pump happy endorphins through your body, and enjoy socialising with other Greenhithe mums.

I aim to create a non-intimidating atmosphere, where all fitness levels are welcome.

The accountability of a small group (and coach!) waiting for you each week really helps with the consistency you need to build habits of regular exercise.

The local Greenhithe location of my home means Foxfit is easy to get to, so less excuses and traffic, time saved!

The small groups I run mean you get more attention from me, your personal coach, to make sure you know how to perform the exercises safely and effectively.

Message me to have a chat, or find out more information x

Hi there - a quick intro for my new followers :)
I'm Kelly - a Lifestyle Fitness and Accountability Coach, and mum of 4.

I am not your usual Personal Trainer - I don't wear crop tops, I don't work at a gym with expensive complicated equipment and I don't expect my clients to be doing anything with their bodies they don't feel completely comfortable with.

Foxfit is an open and accepting studio gym for local mums to move their bodies, engage in safe and effective exercise routines and enjoy themselves!

My goal is for you to enjoy the process of working out, and walk away feeling energised and ready to take on the week!

I'm always keen to chat about your exercise goals - and hear what barriers to change you're facing.
Message me sometime x

ps. How good will shorts and sandals feel again soon!

Let's talk about moving?
Do you feel like you need motivation to get moving?
Do you wonder what the most effective form of exercise is?
How many minutes per day do I need to workout?
Are you paralyzed by not knowing what exactly to do?
Please don't wait for a news article about the newest fad, or a trainer to show you exactly how to do fancy exercises. Do what you can do now 🌷
What can you add into your day, and might even be fun?
🧡dancing with the kids
🧡walking to school pickup
🧡stretching while watching tv?

There isn't a wrong way to start adding movement into your day, in any amount! Put your excuses away and find a way to move 🧡
Ps A coach can definitely help you stay accountable and provide advice but we always benefit from moving more x
