Just arrived in Christchurch and I’m delighted to be invited to celebrate Sothys Paris’ 80th Anniversary with the New Zealand distribution team, de Spa Cosmetics, and many Sothys therapists from across the country. ✨

On Friday night, Varsha and I are proud to represent the Exhibit team as we join Sothys clinics from across New Zealand to celebrate this incredible milestone.

My connection with Sothys began almost 40 years ago at Neroli Beauty Clinic in Pakuranga, and continued with Sothys when I worked in London before eventually establishing Exhibit Beauty.
Anne-Marie de Spa was instrumental in helping me get Exhibit off the ground. Anne-Marie was incredibly supportive in those early days, not only with Sothys but also importing beautiful, high-quality equipment from Canada, including electrolysis machines that were state-of-the-art technology at the time. I’ll never forget the part she played in helping me establish the clinic I built from scratch.

Over the years the beauty industry has changed enormously, but I find myself wanting more and more to stay true to what I have always loved about beauty therapy. Beautiful treatments, luxurious quality products, skilled hands, and a calm space where people can relax, feel cared for and have a little peace from the world.

I’m incredibly proud of Exhibit’s history with Sothys. Vanessa Findlay, Varsha Patel and I have each been awarded Sothys Therapist of the Year, and Exhibit Beauty has been fortunate to receive many Sothys awards and trophies over the years.

Tomorrow morning, I’ll also be meeting with the Premium Sothys Clinics, a select group of experienced and supportive salon and clinic owners from around the country who come together to share knowledge, ideas and experience for the benefit of our businesses, our teams and, ultimately, our clients.

Most of all, thank you to our wonderful clients, some of whom have been with us for decades. You are the reason we’re still here doing what we love.

Here’s to celebrating 80 wonderful years of Sothys, the people who have been part of its journey, and all of us who continue to share a love of beautiful skincare, professional beauty therapy and caring for our clients. 🩷
