What's in my engagement kete? 💛
One thing I learnt working with tamariki is that meaningful conversations don't always start with words.
Even though I now work mainly with wāhine and rangatahi, I still carry an engagement kete. Inside are things like Mana Wāhine affirmation cards (always a hit!), fidget spinners, hand cream for grounding and mindfulness, and other simple tools that help take the pressure off.
Sometimes the best conversations happen while our hands are busy.
Trauma-informed practice is about meeting people where they're at and creating a space where they feel safe, seen, and heard.
What's one simple thing that helps you feel grounded?

Midweek reminder... 💚
Your body carries you through every busy day, every challenge, every joy, and every season of life. It deserves care too.
If you've been putting yourself last, maybe this is your sign to slow down, reset your nervous system, and give your body the care it's been asking for.
Massage appointments available. I'd love to help you feel more like you again. 🌿

Monday feels. 💛
After an amazing weekend in the Far North and Hokianga, I'm back into a week of back-to-back clients with a full heart.
We are always healing or helping someone we love heal..being healed isnt the goal as this is unrealistic, we all walk with wounds, trauma and inspire to be loved ✨️ ❤️
This quote really resonated with me...
Whether it's through social work, supervision, maternal mental health, or therapeutic massage, I feel incredibly grateful to walk alongside people as they rediscover their own strength.
Here's to a week of lifting each other up. ✨
Happy monday! 😊

Still alive... I promise! 😂
I've been a little quiet on here because life has been full.
Over the last few months I've had the privilege of returning to social work alongside my supervision and massage work. This week I also started with Mothers Helpers, working alongside midwives, Plunket and incredible māmā navigating postnatal depression, anxiety and the huge transition into motherhood.
One thing I've noticed isn't just affecting new mums... it's affecting so many wāhine.
We're tired.
Winter feels heavy. Money is tight. Life is busy. We spend so much time looking after everyone else that somewhere along the way we forget what actually brings us joy.
It got me asking myself the same question...
What makes me feel alive?
Not productive. Not successful. Just... joyful.
Maybe it's getting outside. Moving your body. Reading a book. Creating something. Sitting by the ocean. Calling a friend. Laughing until your cheeks hurt.
Whatever it is, perhaps this is your reminder—as much as it is mine—to make space for it again.
You deserve a life that feels good, not one you simply survive.
So tell me... what brings you joy that you've been meaning to get back to? 💚
I've booked a weekend away, returned to the gym and back socializing with those who fill my cup 🥤 🙌
Come along this thursday and treat yourself ❤️ something for everyone, not only a way to spoil yourself like you deserve but a great way to try different modalities of healing ♥️

It's been a lovely, full week doing what I love across all three roles—social work, supervision, and massage therapy.
I've also finished training with some of my new providers, and I'm feeling incredibly grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside and empower wāhine as they heal, grow, and rediscover their strength.
Holding space is a privilege I never take for granted. Here's to healing, connection, and the resilience of the amazing women I have the honour of working with. 🤍

🌿 Hello July!
I've been a little quiet on here, but very busy behind the scenes—working on new social work contracts, providing professional supervision, and spending time alongside some amazing wāhine who are investing in themselves.
As my own workload grows, I'm reminded how important work-life balance and emotional fitness are. Emotional fitness isn't something we achieve once—it's something we keep working on, just like our physical health.
As we head into the last six months of the year, this is your reminder to make time for yourself too. Your wellbeing matters.
If your mind or body could use a reset, I'd love to see you. 💚
