You can read about here, peeps! The day had been! Back on Febuary 24th, my stunning sister got married! 😍 I was very blessed to be the only maid of honor and honourary hairstylist! ( Did I actually have a choice, though? 😉🤣😋)
Daina chose a simple yet modern classic bun for her special day!...... Not going to lie, I am proud/relieved to have been able to pull it off!.🙌🏽 🤣
Miss P, pictured in the 2nd photo, requested her style, too! - No letting the bride choose here! 🤣 Fair to say she absolutely rocked and wore this so proudly for her auntie D. I'm also relieved to have been able to pull it off! 🤣
One thing I love about Weddings is how it really showcases everyone's unique style and personality! 💖

✨HAIR BRUSHING 101✨

Didn't get a chance to post yesterday because some little 4.8month old was on the phone talking to her friends and taking snapchats while she could. (Better social life than me at the mo 😂 Also has anyone used the Disney Princess app on Snapchat, has provided us with some good entertainment while Tony gets Heath to sleep lol)

Anyway thought I would do a wee post on Brushing your hair because given the circumstances we are in, this is a great opportunity for anyone that may need it. (Men included)
BRUSHING your hair is the simplest form of massage. For all hair types, yes even the curly hair. I know they hate it but you won't see anyone for 4 weeks so it's great time to do it, just wet your hair down once you have finished 😅.) ✨If you are feeling stressed and need some time out this can be a form of meditation. Great for those people that love to use thier hands too, very therapeutic.
It will stimulate your scalp and distribute the natural oils from your scalp to your ends and remove any "dandruff" you have whilst being good for the mind, body & soul plus shiny healthy hair. Win Win. ✨

Even better if you can teach/coax your children/husband/partner into doing it for you ( If you don't need the alone time that is.) Great way to connect and relax at the same time. As long as they don't hit you with the brush or pull on the hair 😅🤣. ✨Important - Only Brush hair when 100% dry.
Comb when wet.✨ You may have already known this but just thought I would give my 2 cents worth incase it helps.

Love Rach ❤️ xx

P. S - Heath says at the end - Look its swinging! 😂😂

❤️First and foremost HATS OFF AND ALL THE LOVE IN THE WORLD to the Doctors & Nurses, Emergency Sevices and Essential workers. You guys are next level amazing and from the bottom of our heart, my family and I thank you SO much! 🙏🏻✨❤️ ✨Being a social person with social children is definitely something that will take me a while to get used to so big thanks so much to technology for once! 😅 Staying in contact with friends and the world is vital for mental health in this family. 🙏🏻 ✨To the wonderful humans I know and the amazing clients I have, take care and I CANNOT WAIT to see you in person again SOON. We will have SO MUCH to chat about when I see ya, life as we know it will be different, hopefully that will be a good thing though. 🤔 💇‍♀️On the note of the hair because this is a hair page....... A great tip to allow for more manageable hair is to ✨Wash with $1 coin amount of shampoo, distribute through hair then rinse off(This will remove dirt, grease & product) , next the same amount of shampoo again, distribute through hair then rinse off(This opens the cuticle for a deep clean wash) , once that is done condition on the ends and rinse off ( This will close the cuticle therfore allowing nothing unneeded to enter the hair follicle and less damage.)
Also because we will have time at home it is a great reason to give your hair some TLC so feel free to leave the conditioner on longer or do hair treatments. Less straitening and heated products would also help give it a break if you fancy. 💁‍♀️ ✨Side note but not a sale pitch although it sounds like it: I have products and a few packs available if anyone is in need....... I can drop off tomorrow, do not hesitate to get in touch✨

ALSO PLEASE feel free to message me if you have any questions or just need a chat.💇‍♀️ Love to you all through this crayzie time. Wishing I had a magic wand right now. Kia Kaha

Love Rach, Tony, Phoebe, Heath & Flax. ✨❤️✨❤️✨

✨Long Post Alert .........SOZ 😬✨

10 years ago ( this February to be exact) I embarked on this journey of doing Wedding hair for some really good clients/friends of mine.

Not really having a lot of experience at the time- it was up to pure encouragement from some wonderful supportive people, and self teaching/learning that got me to where I am today.

I am so super grateful and humbled for all the people that have believed in me, encouraged me and supported me over the last 10 years. I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Not to bore you with all the details but I had an epiphany before Christmas, The reason I say it was an epiphany is because; A few people had suggested this to me after debating with myself for 2 years that something needed to change, ( at the time I could not seem to process what it was in my head.) Then, no word of a lie and not being hugely spiritual on the full moon it literally just popped into my little brain while I was tidying up, that this was possibly the answer I was looking for after all.

Long story short...I am going to take a break from doing wedding hair for the next wedding season leading into 2021/2022 ( except for the ones already booked in. 😉 ).
✨Weddings are truly magical and I have LOVED being a part of something so special in peoples lives, and to have been able to help in the smallest way.
But for me, now it is time to have my summer weekends back with the 3 best humans I know and enjoy that time while the little ones still like to hang with their parents. 😉✨
THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN TO EVERYONE, to my family, my friends, to all the people in the wedding industry that has ever forwarded my name on and worked with me, this has definitely NOT been an easy decision to make ( Note: 2 WHOLE years to come to this! 😬) I really really appreciate you all and I will look forward to keeping up with it on social media from all the other amazing talented vendors.
However I am also going to take this opportunity to delete my Instagram account and change my FB page to Hairdressing so people can still contact me for everyday services. 💇🏻‍♀️✌🏼
✨Happy Happy New Year Wonderful Humans! I hope it is the best one yet. ❤

This time of year is filled with social events and wedding season is in full swing! The lovely Transform Occasion Hair - By Rachel has posted some of her top tips for prepping your hair for a special occasion (and just every day life).

There’s also some great gift ideas in there too!

Photos 17/11/2019

With Wedding season upon us I thought I might write a post with my BEST and easiest tips for getting your hair prepped for your special day or just in every day life!

I am not usually one for telling people what to do with their life decisions but this will help A LOT for your hairstylist.

✨Invest in a good shampoo and conditioner! People have said to me there is not much difference between a cheap shampoo and a Hair Salon prescribed shampoo! 😳Yes they do the same thing, however you do NOT get the same results.

✨Always wash your hair with 2 shampoos ( Unless you wash your hair every day ) The first shampoo will remove dirt, product and grease, the second shampoo will cleanse your hair and scalp. You literally only need a 50cent coin amount for both of these shampoos especially if it is really concentrated.
✨Always condition the ends as it closes your hair cuticle.

✨Invest in a good Keratin oil - the benefits of the oil is to protect against heat damage from styling tools, helps restore shine and moisture to the hair. This is a cheaper option than in salon treatments however they are also very beneficial because when your hair is in good condition it is much easier to style.

✨Regular trims help, but are not necessary if you are growing your hair out.

That's it! - Does sound costly but hey Christmas is coming too and this is the PERFECT time to get some good hair products. 😉

✨Pictured here is Miss P after a shampoo, condition, Keratin oil in the ends then blow dried and brushed - Enticed with youtube on my phone as she is now refusing getting her hair washed and always refuses getting it brushed 😳😆✌🏼Anywho how good is that shine and condition 😍

If you have any questions feel free to DM me.✌🏼

I hope this has been helpful. Happy Sunday wonderful humans. 🤗🥰
