**Business Update**

Unfortunately over my maternity leave the world has also become a unrecognizable place ruled by fear.

Simply Beautiful will always be Prochoice.
I have been a beauty therapist and cared for some of you for 10 years, I would not be where I am today without your support and now it is my turn to support you.

So with a very heavy heart for this reason sadly we will not be reopening in the foreseeable future.

As a beauty therapist my standing on this like many midwives, is something I feel strongly about. You should ALWAYS be sovereign of your body. "My body, my choice". I have and always will put your wellbeing first and foremost and advocate for that.

I feel that as a respected, qualified professional that people trust to advise on products & treatments, I have a responsibility to uphold. I cannot endorse an experimental vaccine with unknown longterm side-effects. So many of you have contraindications, "underlying health issues" yet most do not qualify for an exemption. Everything in our industry, if you practice with ethics & morals, is with informed consent & confidential. I don't believe this has your best interests at heart for your whole health & wellbeing.
I will not add to the weight of this decision. Your freedom to choose is more important than your beauty treatment. I care too much. I won't make you feel unwelcome in a place I have worked so hard to make a safe space for every one of you to feel welcome and not judged. It gos against everything myself & Simply Beautiful stands for.

I won't make this a requirement for my services.
I won't make you feel like an outsider, that you don't belong or do not deserve to be treated equally.
And most importantly I won't support the discrimination & segregation of people.

I believe we should stand for what we believe is right.

If you, for whatever reason, have still chosen to not be vaccinated I respect your choice.

I will always welcome you regardless of any status as I always have. I may not always be able to provide you with beauty services during these times but I am always here & my inbox is always open 💛

We are looking for a passionate Beauty Therapist who can bring exceptional service and care to our loyal and growing clientele. You will offer a variety of treatments to the highest professional standard with due care, attention to detail and sensitivity to client’s needs. We are a small friendly salon and there will be a level of responsibility required with this position.

Responsibilities
• Provide beauty therapy treatments and a high level of customer service for all clients.
• Reception duties
• Daily running of the salon
• Create an atmosphere that makes clients feel comfortable and welcome
• Sell treatments to potential clients and convert enquiries into treatment bookings and upsell treatments where possible.
• Ensure rooms and equipment are well maintained and well presented
• Maintain up to date knowledge on current products and treatments available and be able to make recommendations to clients that meet their needs.

Additional training will be provided for the right applicant.

Ideal requirements
• A passion for the industry and all things beauty related
• Qualification in Beauty Therapy
• Excellent customer service skills
• Outstanding attention to detail and client care
• Great self management and time management skills
• Honest, reliable and hardworking
• A great communicatior who is positive, confident and caring
• Happy and positive attitude
• Neat presentation
