Progressive move ahead for Canterbury Museum!
I was excited to hear the five year plans for the revamp of the museum - it will certainly be a world class facility when it reopens.
I was delighted with the concept of " unveiling the past heritage" whereby we will see for the first time original stonework in walls and windows, as the new design incorporates these currently hidden features, and incorporated alongside modern architectural elements.
This was a most interesting lecture presented by the museum project architects to the U3A group. Miles is president of Avon U3A, and we meet on Mondays New members are welcome- please contact Miles.

Sadly, very sadly, we farewell my wonderful godfather and Uncle Earle.
We shared a special bond through a life long shared love of racing, the performing arts and a zest for life. And for that I am forever grateful.

A compelling read, says Miles. Colditz, the latest book from Ben Macintyre.
It was a delight to meet the author at Christ's College, on his first ever visit to NZ.
He is currently researching a new historical book, which features some famous NZ people- we await that with interest!

And a trip up the hill to the original farm homestead is always a must on any trip home!
Built in 1928 for the family , designed by Reginald Thorrold- Jaggard, (architect) this is a distinctive Manawatu building. It holds a special part in our family's heart.

SoOO loved being in PETER ANDREWS FURNITURE, FEILDING.
