My good friend Cory aka Hunters Fabrication is doing a run of these steak weights/burger presses and these things are D-O-P-E!

I've done a few skate ones with him (pictured), Cory's currently finishing a number of solid brass handle versions and some are ready to go right now!

Brass handle version weighs 980grams, (9-8-0 🤯), skate handle version weighs 860grams (still fu***ng heavy 👌)

Both are handmade from 5mm coreten steel, so will patina beautifully with use/age.

130x130mm, fits real nice in the paw with a well thought out ergonomic handle design.

Brass version are $85 plus P&P, skate version are $65 plus P&P 💸📮

Sometimes I honestly do wonder if any of my calls have ever been used for any training or quality purposes 🤔

Anyways, here's a wee mean green setaroni I have available 💚💚 - CW Santoku, your 'anchor' in the kitchen ⚓, the daily workhorse, and the CW Paring, a small light (but deadly) utility knife that comes in handy for any of the smaller quicker jobbies - your 'light in a storm' 🗼

Some specs:

Santoku: Blade length 190mm, Handle 125mm - overall 315mm. Ergonomic rear grip, weighted from pinch grip & weighs 165 grams.

Paring: Blade length 115mm, Handle 100mm - overall 215mm. Classic coffin handle with slightly chamfered and smoothed sides & weighs 70 grams.

Fun story, I have very limited feeling in my left index finger from one of these paring knives - I was finishing one a few years back & it came out of the protective sleeve I use to hold the blade while doing the final hand sand.

I was listening to music & was also deep in thought about whatever random s**t was on my mind on that fateful day, so when the blade slid out my mind immediately went: "just push it back in Wayne" ... which I tried to do, but I missed the sleeve & DROVE it straight through the side of my finger - it hit the bone (after cutting through all the nerves/tendons/muscle ... (whatever the f***s in there) and came out the other side.

So, when I say these are small/light, but DEADLY - I really do mean it 😬😂😂😂

Fucm it, I might as well finish the story now I've started ... when it happened, I knew I'd FU**ED UP 😵‍💫

So I wrapped my finger in my shirt - I didn't want to see the damage, the blood on the floor was enough lol.

Then I called my light in a storm - Chezza. She convinced me to look at it, so I unwrapped it - saw all the guts hanging out and I had so much s**t to do that week I decided on the spot - "f**k it, I'm not going to the hospital" ... so I pushed the 'stuff' back into the hole with a glue stick, poured hot stuff (an instant glue I get from the States) (I have another gross story about that glue too) into both sides of the hole and duct taped it up.

Then went and laid down for a while because I was on the verge of fainting 🥴

And I'm not telling you c***s this trying to sound tough, it was singlehandedly the stupidest decision I've ever made - it took well over 6-months for the wound to heal over with constant daily pain and I now have lost pretty much all feeling in it and it HURTS LIKE A MOTHER FU**ER when my hand gets cold 🥶😵‍💫🥴

So folks, learn from this Paddy - if you cut yourself badly with one of my knives (or any other) - go to the hospital and let them sort ya out, not super glue and duct tape 😂😂😂

The long blade shown is my Chezza's boning knife that she asked me for approx. 3.5years ago, it's actually a full carbon fish fillet, but I find they work SOOOOOOOO much better as a boning knife for big BBQ meats (briskets, etc.) - will have a few more of these coming soon too 🔪🥩

Both graphic Stumpy's will come with a magnetic standing block, one block is going to feature a GNARLY broken board design I've been fu***ng around with for a while 👌

I don't do makers weekends anymore, but I'm going to do one last one this year ... and this is it!

It will be a ONE-ON-ONE makers session over two days (most likely a Satdee/Sundee) with yours truly?

Winner can choose what they want to make (kitchen knife, hunting knife, restore an old cleaver, magnetic holder, display block, axe, etc. etc.)

What's included; I provide ERYTHING you need to make something rad that you take home on the Sundee, we provide food both days (EPIC BBQ, birria tacos, or smash burgers, or whatever else my much better half creates ... probably the highlight of these weekends tbh), all the beersies you can possibly consume in 48hours, and as much of my s**t yarns as you can handle.

Depending on how drunk we get, maybe some hugs thrown in too!

We'll do the full skate making process from start to finish, where I'll explain every step in the actual processing of the old boards, and I'll make the same thing along with you for s**ts & giggles!

We can do a weekend that suits the winner at any stage this year (weather permitting).

Hi everyone, Cheryl here again ... more that are finished/available 😘

This time, we have an old Foster Bros (Brothers) matching set of Cleaver & Butchers Steel.

Cleaver has a 6.25" long blade, is just over a foot total length, solid brass pins with custom CW centre pins and weighs approx. 725 grams (hefty little beast in the hand).

The FB Steel has a 14" long honing steel, and is just over 20" overall including handle and weighs approx. 550 grams, finished with custom CW pins on all four faces 👌

These two have come to New Zealand all the way from Alamogordo, New Mexico 🇺🇲 and are approx. 80 years young.

These two were working tools in the first version of a local Abattoir 'A & M Meat Processing LLC' that's still operating today. These came from an estate sale of one of the original owners, so a real piece of Americana for you ❤️

They have both been refinished in the OG CW skate stripes 🔥 and are surface finished with approx. 15 layers of a super secret marine grade polyurethane and thinners mix to get that glassy finish 👌💎 & make water resistant⛔️💦 (not to be confused with water proof for the dishwasher lovers 🤦)

This set is: $1,095 plus P&P - usual story, first DM gets it!

This is the only Cleaver & matching Butchers Steel set that will ever be done BTW ... so a genuine 'one of a kind' in a world of mass production 😎

It's an old International Tool Edge Co. - 7" long blade, just over a foot total length and weighs 666 grams.

Feels real solid/nice in the hand & has been reground/rebevelled and is sharp AF, so chicken necks beware!

It's come to NZ via a small place called Ste. Genevieve in Missouri 🇺🇲 and is approx. 60 years young.

It's been refinished in an old vintage car pinstripe pattern 🔥

This one's $580 plus P&P - first DM gets it.

No idea when the next one will be available 🤷
