We don't just do hair "We do beautiful"
Why the consultation matters more than you think 🩶✨
Before a single section of hair is touched, we talk. And there is a reason for that.
A consultation is where we get to understand you, your hair history, your lifestyle, how much time you actually want to spend styling at home, and the look you are dreaming of. It is also where we are honest with you. Your hair has its own story, its previous colour, its condition, its natural tone, and all of that shapes what is realistic to achieve in one visit and what we build toward over time.
This is the step that protects the health of your hair and makes sure you walk out with a result you love, not a guess. The colour you saw on Pinterest is the goal. The consultation is the map that gets you there safely. 🩶
Great hair is never rushed. It starts with a conversation. 💗

Where most hairdressers go wrong as they treat grey blending one of two ways go lighter in your tint or have highlights. This is not going to achieve longevity of grave blending watch my video as I talk about two different scenarios. I like to do a consultation with every single person and a strand test before we even start. Your first appointment quite often is the most investment but then we get you well on your way to a lower maintenance regime have you looking and feeling amazing.

Fab at 50 🩶💃 When Nicki sat in my chair for the first time, I could see she had almost given up on her hair. Years of regrowth, damage, and that stubborn brassy tone had worn her down, and honestly, that is so common when colour is rushed. 👀
I did not want to just patch it. I wanted to give her hair its health back and work with her natural silver instead of fighting it. So we took our time. Six months of careful steps, a gentle gloss transition, and treatments along the way to rebuild the condition of her hair.🩶
For the final transformation, we did a full head highlight with a soft clay lightener
The secret is lifting beyond that yellow stage to a genuinely clean base, because you cannot get beautiful, bright silver on a foundation that is still warm. That patience is everything.
Seeing Nicki light up at the end, looking blonde, feeling fab, and finally proud of her hair at 50, is exactly why I do what I do.
If any part of Nicki's story sounds like you, come in and let's make a plan together. There is no rush and no pressure, just a path back to hair you love.🩶🩶

Part 4 | Laura’s Grey Transition ✨
Laura came to us in February with waist length hair and years of level 4 dark brown tint through the mid lengths and ends. Like many women starting their grey journey, she wanted something softer, more modern and lower maintenance for the long term. 🩶
This was never a one appointment transformation:
🌱 First Visit in February:
Three gentle lightening applications to safely lift years of artificial pigment, finished with a custom gloss. The result: a warm cendré tone that softened the contrast beautifully.
🌿 Second Visit in April:
Laura wanted to move smokier and cooler. As the old colour kept lifting, we fined the tones while protecting her hair’s condition.
🌴 Third Visit in May:
Laura Considered going darker again with a mushroom brunette and silver highlights. After a deep consultation, we explained that darker would recreate regrowth lines and faded warm ends over time. Instead, we chose a softer long term solution: a full head of blended silver highlights to diffuse old demarcation lines and create a seamless grey transition.
Grey transitioning is a journey, not a quick fix. Done properly, it is soft, elegant, and incredibly flattering.
Stay tuned for the final reveal of Laura’s transformation 💫

The biggest thing I see with ladies when they come for a consultation, is rusty gold banding hair this is because other people have tried with just highlight low light to achieve results and this is not how you do grey blending we are here to help contact us for your consultation.
Laura first came to us in February, her hair was waist length with years of level 4 dark brown tint through the mid lengths and ends. Like many women beginning their grey transition journey, she wanted something softer, more modern, and lower maintenance long term.✨
This transformation was never going to happen in one appointment:
→ FIRST VISIT | FEBRUARY
We carefully carried out three gentle lightening applications to slowly and safely lift years of artificial dark pigment, followed by a custom gloss transformation. By the end of her first visit, we achieved a beautiful warm cendré tone that softened the harsh contrast and gave Laura a far more natural, dimensional result.
→ SECOND VISIT | APRIL
Laura returned wanting to move towards a smokier silver tone with more coolness and softness throughout the hair.
As the old colour continued lifting, we were able to refine the tones further while maintaining the integrity and condition of her hair.
→ THIRD VISIT | MAY
By late May, Laura was considering going deeper again with a more “mushroom” brunette tone and silver highlights.
After an in depth consultation, we explained that moving darker again would recreate long term regrowth lines and eventually leave her with faded warm ends over time.
💡 Instead, we chose a softer long term solution:
A full head of blended silver highlights designed to diffuse old demarcation lines and create a more seamless grey transition.
Grey transitioning is a journey, not a quick fix.
Done properly, it can be soft, elegant, modern, and incredibly flattering.
Stay tuned for part two! And see a beautiful transformation with Laura 💛✨

All she wanted was a short funky textured haircut with clean blonde highlights. Which we achieved. One happy client. That makes our day.

This lovely lady came to me from Timaru. We had previously done a virtual consultation to talk through hair colour and hairstyle ideas to help her make the most of her short haircut embrace her grey and make her grey hair look fabulous. We planned out what we were going to do,she came up from Timaru for the day. We did a beautiful silver violet gloss transition which gave depth to her natural hair and a very pearly silver tone to her white hair. It actually looks like she has had low light foils. But this beautiful colour will have no ammonia yellow fade out just gloss and shine and great managability. The haircut was originally previously very square we added a texture chipping technique and razor cut. The idea was to make the hairstyle manageable and stylish along with meeting the needs of this client’s lifestyle. Here by master stylist Vicki Ogden-OFee
