Makeup always sits better when your skin has had a drink first. Cleanse, moisturise, and don’t skip sunscreen.

The basics matter more than the big fancy routine you won’t use. And your wallet and makeup drawer will thank you 🥰

DAY 23 📲
DATE night!! 💜
When I became a MUM, nothing could've prepated me for this journey 🥾
And because LIFE is LIFE, I went back to work full-time when she was only three months old 🐣
I still remember going back 💭
I CRIED solidly for a week 💔
🥺 There was is a small ACHE I've carried for years.
🛠 The grief of knowing I had to work to PROVIDE.
⏰ ️But also wishing I had been able to spend more TIME with her.
I know so many parents understand that FEELING....
✔️You do what you HAVE to do.
✔️You LOVE your children deeply.
And still, somewhere inside, there can be a sadness about the TIME you didn’t get 😔
So, once a month we have a standing DATE.
🎥 Sometimes it’s the movies.
🍽 Sometimes it’s dinner.
Tonight, we went back to a restaurant we’ve been going to since she was quite YOUNG.
Nothing flash, but it holds a lot of MEMORIES for us 💜
🌺 Muscle memory.
🌺 A place that has watched us grow.
Tonight, some FRIENDS walked in and asked what we were doing.
I said, “We’re on a MUM and BUB date."
And honestly?
I loved saying that because each time is more SPECIAL than the last 😁
More than 10 years later .... we’re STILL doing it.
Although I cant get back that TIME, building a FUTURE matters.
📌 Business matters.
📌 Clients matter.
📌 Work matters.
But so does REMEMBERING who I’m building for.
Tonight, my energy BELONGS here.

NO rushing⚙️
Yesterday was AMAZING 😁
🌺Beautiful.
🌺Emotional.
🌺Full.
And today, my body is reminding me that even good things take ENERGY.
I'm still in medical recovery, so REST is part of the plan.
🏆Not a reward.
🤔Not an afterthought.
🎯Part of the plan.
Sometimes self-care is simply CHOOSING to recharge before the week begins again.
💪Body.
🧠Mind.
💫Soul.
Do whatever puts a SMILE on your face.
Do whatever helps your body feel SAFE enough to rejuvenate.
Take care of yourself FIRST💆♀️💆

TODAY was a day that will stay with me forever❣️
I attended the 125th Anniversary Celebration of the Niue and New Zealand Realm Relationship at the Christchurch Town Hall.
With Her Excellency The Right Honourable Dame Cindy Kiro, Governor-General of New Zealand and representative of His Majesty King Charles III, and The Honourable Richie Mautama representing the Government of Niue, it was a significant occasion.
But for me, it felt even BIGGER than that.
One of the Masters of Ceremonies was MY daughter, Mahina Kalauta Kanavatoa. 💜
In her role as the Youth Representative on the Niue Community Christchurch Committee, she had the honour of LEADING this important occasion.
As she introduced herself, acknowledged her family, and honoured her magafaoa, I felt SOMETHING difficult to put into words.
It felt as though our family, past and present, spread across the world, were standing in the room with HER🌺
To say I was proud would be an understatement.
Not because she was on stage.
But because of how she carried herself.
👑With confidence.
👑With leadership.
👑With grace.
As parents, we spend years hoping our children will find their place in the WORLD.
Today, I was reminded that she already HAS.
Perhaps the greatest GIFT of all was realising that one of my deepest fears no longer exists.
She is a capable young WOMAN.
She will do WELL in this world🥰
Even when I am no longer here to walk BESIDE her💜
🏛I am a business owner.
⛰️I am a coach.
But the greatest role I have ever had is being Mahina's MUM👩🍼
Today was one of those MOMENTS that reminded me why. 🌺

Sometimes the biggest difference isn’t more makeup… it’s the order you apply it ✨
This is a simple base routine:
💧 Clean, hydrated skin + SPF
💚 Colour correction to neutralise redness/under-eyes
✨ Light coverage where needed
➡️ Swipe to see the difference
Most people skip colour correction…
and end up using more foundation trying to fix it later
The second photo is just colour correction + tinted moisturiser — no foundation yet 👀
When you start with the right base, everything looks more even — and feels a lot lighter 🤍

Quick reminder — more makeup isn’t always the answer ✨
This weekend we focused on:
💚 colour correcting redness
💧 lightweight, buildable coverage
✨ enhancing, not covering
Starting with a colour correcting tinted moisturiser made SUCH a difference before even adding foundation.
Result?
✔️ more even skin
✔️ less product needed
✔️ super lightweight feel
Sometimes it’s not about adding more…
it’s about using the *right* products in the right order 🤍
When you're passionate, nothing stops you 🌺
