It was a great pleasure to return to 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢 𝐑𝐮𝐫𝐮 Girls’ School today to speak with 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝟏𝟑 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 about Traditional Chinese Medicine.

I have been fortunate to be invited to the school in previous years, and it is always wonderful to see the students’ curiosity and enthusiasm for learning about different approaches to health and wellbeing.

During today’s interactive session, we explored some of the basic principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and cupping. The students had the opportunity to look closely at Chinese herbs and acupuncture models, ask questions, and take part in practical demonstrations.

What I enjoy most about these school visits is the opportunity not simply to talk about Chinese medicine, but to encourage young people to explore another medical tradition and the culture and philosophy behind it with an open and curious mind.

A sincere thank you to Rangi Ruru Girls’ School, Leigh Allan, and the students for the warm welcome and enthusiastic participation. It was a very enjoyable and meaningful session, and I look forward to continuing to share Traditional Chinese Medicine with young people in our community. Thomas Lin

I was invited to give the TCM lecture in Burnside High School again on Monday 25th in last week， this program was started since 2019

As the weather gets colder, many people start noticing cold hands and feet, low energy, or just feeling chilled all the time.

New and Old China and juxtaposition: this is where I am staying…

𝟏,𝟎𝟎𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐬 from acupuncture clinics across New Zealand have now been collected. These needles represent the care of practitioners and the trust of their clients. This ancient form of medical treatment is now highly respected in New Zealand.

Last Saturday, a large group of distinguished guests gathered at the Central Library in Christchurch to launch the Million Silver Needles Project. The Canterbury Museum will be setting up a display and exhibition to explain the history of acupuncture in New Zealand, which will open first at the pop-up museum and later move to the new museum in a few years’ time.
