2025 Certificate in Rongoā L4... 💗💚✨️
As my class for 2025 comes to a close, we had our final class tonight, a kai and celebration. Its been a privledge to teach these amazing humans. Wherever their pathway forward is I know my life is altered from spending the past 9 months teaching them. Thank you for blessing my life and being your unique and genuine selves. He Puāwaitanga Graduation 2025
He Puāwai - Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching L5. It is official, Desia and I both graduated this weekend with Te Wānanga o Aotearoa at McFaddens Centre in Saint Albans. We are qualified teachers and officially work for Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.
This weekend, my class of 2024 officially graduated, receiving their qualification in Rongoā L4. I am extremely proud of all of them, and to the two tauira who were not able to attend. You were missed.
Moments caught forever.

Yesterday we had our first wānanga for the year 'Koti Kanokano' ~ we would like to Thank the following:
Io ~ Simply we love you and are both very grateful for the life we are privledged to live because of you.
Our participants ~ who took time away from their whānau to wānanga and create with Io Ora Ātaahua, we appreciate you.
Our sister Jan ~ who came to awhi the kaupapa, your manaaki and the way you easily look after people is stunning, we love you.
And last but certainly not the least to my beautiful wife Rhodesia (Desia) for creating the kaupapa, holding the kaupapa and delivering the kaupapa. Your creativity is definitely blessed by IO. Thank you for all that you do, I love you.
We are excited to annouce we will be running other wānanga throughout the year. We will keep you posted.

Mākete Reo...
What a stunning day IO ~ The first mākete reo based in Lyttleton today, where te reo was spoken while shopping for rongoā, kakahu, kai and more. The level of te reo being spoken from beginners through to advanced was amazing to be immersed in today. It was our absolute pleasure to mahi alongside all the other stall holders. We look forward to being able to attend next year. Thank you to Rapaki Māori Woman's Welfare League for creating this kaupapa for the people. Thank you to all the people who came to visit us today, your support is appreciated. Today was not about making money, today was an opportunity for us to give back to the people. Thank you IO for the blessings you bestow upon us, and the mahi we get to do in your name.

✨️ Our final acknowledgement we would like to make is to Te Pūtahitanga o Te Waipounamu. February 2024 we applied for funding and recieved $50,000 to support us to deliver our kaupapa to whānau. With the recent announcement from Te Pūtahitanga o Te Waipounamu we understand how lucky and grateful we are. Thank you for the opportunity you have given us, it has made a big difference in our lives and the lives of others. We will always be eternally grateful. ✨️
