For those of you I haven’t yet met in person, my name is Miriam, and I am the founder of Lashed Beauty.

Lashed Beauty was born over 14years ago, in a small spare room in my home, built with love, hope, and a dream shared by my family and I. What started as something so small grew into something far greater than I ever imagined — not just a business, but a space of connection, trust, comfort, and care. Together, we grew into three salons, welcomed some of the most amazing staff, and created spaces where people could pause, breathe, and feel looked after.
Over the years, I have been honoured to walk alongside so many of you through different seasons of life. I have young clients who first came to me at just 14 years old, sitting nervously in my home salon, who are now confident young adults and some beautiful mums themselves — still choosing to support Lashed Beauty all these years later. That kind of loyalty humbles me beyond words.
Without your ongoing support, kindness, and belief in us, Lashed Beauty would never have become what it is today. Every appointment booked, every conversation shared, every moment of trust — they have all mattered more than you will ever know.
Like so many small businesses, the last few years have brought challenges that none of us could have prepared for. Rising costs, the weight of everyday life, and the constant pressure to keep going have placed many of us into survival mode. Unfortunately, Lashed Beauty has felt this impact deeply. We have tried our absolute best to keep moving forward, to hold on, and to continue showing up for you — and we will keep trying, with all our hearts.
To help ease some of this pressure and protect the future of Lashed Beauty, we have made the incredibly difficult decision to close our Hornby salon and continue operating solely from our Bishopdale location. Please know this decision was not made lightly. It comes with sadness, reflection, and a lot of emotion.
I will dearly miss the beautiful clients we may leave behind due to distance. We have shared so much together — laughter, tears, quiet moments, and sometimes peaceful silence as you took a break from the outside world, even if only for a short while. Those moments have meant everything to me, and I will always hold them close.
To those who are able to follow us to Bishopdale, we welcome you with open arms and so much gratitude. We are stepping into this next chapter with hope, resilience, and love, as we continue navigating this journey together.
Our final day of business at the Hornby salon will be February 28th. All future appointments will take place at our Bishopdale premises. Please bear with us as we move through this transition — your patience and understanding mean the world to us.
