Relax and Renew by Grace

Hi, my name is Grace. I love gymnastics. In 2022 and 2023 I have had the honour of representing Canterbury in gymnastics at Nationals as part of the team of four. In 2022, I won the title of Step 5 Over National Champion, in addition, I was recognized by Gymsports Canterbury as the Junior Gymnast Of The Year. To be eligible to represent Canterbury, I have to attend competitions all across New Zealand and achieve qualifying scores. All of the expenses associated with entering these competitions, travel, uniforms, and accommodation, are all covered by my family. I wanted to find a way to contribute towards these costs, which led to the creation of Relax and Renew, Handmade by Grace.
My Mum, who is trained in Natural Medicine, is always making relaxing bath salts, nourishing body butter, and calming room sprays for me to use after intense training sessions to relax my muscles and calm my mind. She would always have a roller bottle infused with essential oils to help calm and focus my mind on hand for me to use before competitions. These products worked wonders for me, so I began making them as gifts for my friends and family.
That's when I had my light bulb moment - I could make these products to raise funds for my competition expenses.
Now, with Mum's help, I make a range of all natural 'Relax' products including Bath Salts, Room Spray, Personal Roller Bottles, Exfoliating Scrub, and Nourishing Body Butter, alongside my Renew handcrafted 'Wings to Fly' earrings, made by me, from repurposed bicycle tubes. All the profits generated from the sale of my products contribute towards my goal of representing New Zealand in gymnastics one day.
