After 36 wonderful years of doing what I love, and being lucky enough to have such amazing, loyal clients, I’ve unfortunately had a bit of a knee-tastrophe! 😅

I’ve broken my knee, and I’m now sporting a very glamorous brace and facing some time away from work while I recover. Definitely not quite the break I had in mind! 😂

I want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of my beautiful clients for your patience, understanding and continued support. After 36 years, so many of you have become much more than clients — you’re part of the Yazu family, and I’m incredibly grateful for every one of you. ❤️

The very good news is that I have an absolutely amazing team behind me. They’ll be stepping up and looking after everyone over the coming weeks. They are more than ready to keep things running and make sure you’re all looked after.

I honestly couldn’t ask for a better team, and I’m so incredibly proud of them.

So, while I’m temporarily trading scissors and work shoes for a brace, ice packs and plenty of patience, I’m focusing on getting better and coming back stronger!

Thank you again for all your lovely messages, understanding and support. It means more than you know.

And to my incredible Yazu team — thank you for being absolute superstars!

Here’s to a speedy recovery, plenty of laughs along the way, and hopefully a slightly less dramatic next chapter! 😂❤️

With a heavy heart our Yazu team would like to share the saddest news of our dear wee mascot Lilys passing today.
She has touched the lives of many of our clients and team members over her last 17 years.
She will be greatly missed by us all ❤️❤️

Today we celebrate a truly extraordinary milestone — 30 years of the amazing Lisa at Yazu Hair Lounge. ❤️
Lisa is so much more than just a team member — she’s the heart and soul of our salon. Over the past three decades, she’s brought style, loyalty, compassion, humour, and pure professionalism to everything she does. Her creativity knows no bounds, and her connection with every client is something truly special.
Together, we’ve weathered just about everything — earthquakes, fires, floods, police stakeouts — and through it all, Lisa has been a rock. Calm, collected, and somehow always looking fabulous!
I honestly couldn’t imagine doing this without her. To have worked side by side with someone like Lisa for 30 years is a gift — one I never take for granted.
Lisa, thank you for being you. Here’s to the memories we’ve made, and all the beautiful ones still to come. ✨
